Good simple black tea boba drink
The instructions are pretty typical of home boba kits and easy to follow. Make sure you mind the wattage of your microwave in regards to warming the boba pearls (and don't skip ventilating). The prepared drink tastes like a regular black tea with a touch of creamer. The boba pearls are soft and easy to chew, no notable flavor by their self but pick up some of the liquid flavor and are mildly sweet. While my preference is for taro flavor, this is a decent black tea style. Adding extra sweetener or milk does make the flavor more rich. The included straws hold up well through the course of drinking a single serving and have sufficient diameter for the boba pearls to pass through easily.

Chew boba
The tea isnt too bad, it had a nice flavor and was similar to something I would buy at a boba shop. The tapioca pearls were off. I'm not sure if it was the method of heating them up or its just because they were old from being bagged for so long but they tasted stale and chewy. Other than that the drink was alright.

Could be better
The tea was delicious, but the tapioca pearls seemed stale and were much harder than I expected. I enjoyed my next cup more without the pearls

Easiest way to make boba at home
Boba tea is a lot of work, usually, but this was honestly one of the easiest ways I've ever made it at home. Assam is one of my favorite teas, as well, so that made this even better. I really really enjoyed this. It took 5 minutes to prepare, start to finish.3 servings for the current price of $9.99 is also quite a good value. If I were very into boba, I would buy again. I only get it sometimes as a treat, though.

meh flavor, tapioca exploded
Followed directions to microwave tapioca pack but it still blew up in the microwave. Adding to the frustration, while the tea wasn't bad it was still overly sweetened and very obviously an instant tea lacking in flavor.

A new experience for me. Just OK.
I am coming at this review as a novice: I have never tried (or even heard of) Boba tea, so was unsure what to expect, but it sounded like something I might like.i was unsure of how to approach this: the package said to mix with hot water, but someone else told me to use milk, so that's what I did. I heated a large mug full of milk, then heated the tapioca pearls in the microwave for 30 seconds, as instructed.Mix the pearls with the hot milk (or water), add the packet of tea mix, and stir. The result is a large cup of hot tea that is very, very sweet. Not sure about this. Are you supposed to EAT the pearls? Because the texture is really nasty (reminds me of an oyster). Nope. But the cup of tea was pretty good. This is just not for me, but is a quality product.Three stars.

Pretty Good! Above all, Convenient!
The instructions didn’t mention milk, so I didn’t use any. Maybe if I had, the drinks would taste more like what I'd get at boba tea shops. They were super simple to prepare. I used a styrofoam cup and the hot water dispenser from my water machine. I stirred the hot water and powder together with the provided straw. Then, I microwaved the boba pearls for 30 seconds (in a bowl) and poured them into my cup. The texture of the pearls is bouncy, just like at boba tea shops. The sweetness was surprisingly good (but I did make this tea with 2 cups of hot water). Okay, maybe it’s a bit too sweet for just one cup of hot water!

One of the best boba kits out there!
I love bubble tea kits, but most of the time the boba is too firm in the middle and the tea is overly sweetened. That was not the case with this kit. It had the perfect amount of sweetness. I soaked the plastic bags of boba in hot water and then I opened and placed each bag of boba in separate ramekins. I used 25 seconds in the microwave, and the boba was perfect and chewy. I would get this kit again.
