Marcy and the Riddle of the Sphinx: Brownstone's Mythical Collection 2 Hardcover – Picture Book, April 3, 2018

This book goes a bit deeper than most children's story books into the feelings that parents and children inspire in each other. Specifically, the daughter is worried that her dad is disappointed in her. It turns out fine in the end, but it was deeper than I was expecting. The art, though, is fantastic. There's a section towards the end that's a cutaway of Marcy spelunking through a cave that I just adore. If you liked Hilda or mythology, you can't go wrong with these Brownstone books.

Great book! We love Joe Todd Stanton, and have Arthur and the golden rope. This was just as good. Both have amazing artwork and adventure stories that are nice introductions to mythology and history. Really hoping for more from this series.

I love love love the illustration, masterfully made layouts and a captivating story. I am a 33-year-old woman who bought this for herself.You should as well, and check out the rest of the books from the same author.

My son absolutely LOVES the Brownstone Mythical Collection, and this book was no exception! He has been requesting this one at Bedtime for 2 weeks now since we got it! We love the stories, the illustrations, and the messages. Definitely worth the money. We eagerly await the next book in the series!

The art in this book is next level! Such a cute story of bravery too!

I didn't love this one quite as much as the first in the series, but I loved the first one A LOT! The first one is one of my son's favorite books. This one is more complicated and a little harder for him to understand, but I think he'll appreciate it more as he gets older. He's just four years old right now. The story has a good message, and the illustrations are beautiful. Can't wait for the next book!

My 6 year old son loves the Brownstone books - including this one. It held his attention and was fun to read!

What a great continuation to Arthur's story. I loved meeting his daughter and going on this adventure. Reading this to my son never gets old!
