Works Better Than Expected
This stuff is easy to use and works great as long as you follow the directions. I used it on my tractor and even after heavy usage it has not scratched or peeled off and still looks new. It definitely stopped all the rust it was applied to. It does take several hours to dry and a few days to become fully cured. Afterward, it's rock solid.

Does EXACTLY as advertised outperforming 5 others brands. Expensive, but so effective!!! A+++++
The only coating that actually adheres and hardens rock solid on a galvanized steel survice supporting an air handler surface that generates condensation after every cycle.

Great for Rust Repair, if you can open the can
I wish the whole bottom of my truck was coated in this stuff. Works great and is easy to apply if you can get the lid off. I was unable to remove the lid. It comes in a can like a small paint can but the lid is impossible to open. I used a paint can opener tool and it only stretched the metal up. I need to get a replacement which Amazon was helpful to do for me but it also had difficulty getting open. You don't want to spill this stuff or get on you. You MUST use strong latex gloves. This stuff does not wash off. Also, do not get product on the lid area or you will never reopen the can. I would have given 5 stars if not for the container issues. They really need to use a different container for ease of opening. It's a bit pricey for a small can but works well.

Great product! Lid opened easily.
This works very well! I want to address the common issue regarding the can and the lid being hard to open. My POR-15 small paint can from the kit opened easily with no struggles of any kind just using a small flat blade screw driver. No problem with it and it was ordered here from Amazon. I do want to advise that I bought the same kit locally a week prior expecting to have the issue with the lid mentioned by other reviewers and I did. It was very difficult to open and the can was no good after. What I found different was the Amazon kit had black gloves and the locally purchased had the light colored gloves. Not sure if the Amazon one was a newer version or not but if it is, then POR-15 lid issue might have been addressed by the company. Hope this helps someone.

Body rust DIY project.
NOTE: Small bubbles and white haze NOT a result of POR-15 - I'll explain below.Story: I live in Michigan, and body rust is common. I wanted to seal up some areas around the wheel fenders and near my door handle (cheaply and quickly. It's a truck.. doesn't have to be pretty). I saw great reviews for this product so decided to give it a go.The photos show before and after. However I should give some context here. I first hit the rust spots with an angle grinder, and got most off. I used the degreaser and metal prep as directed. I had big holes in a few spots that we're completely corroded that I filled with JB Weld steel putty, buffed down after curing with the grinder. Rinsed, dried, and applied POR-15 as directed. This stuff seals great. It dries fast and evenly. I left it overnight. Since I used on areas that will be exposed to direct sunlight, it is recommended to use a top coat. However, the reviews for this brand's top coat were not very good. I used clear Rustoleom (protects from UV) to coat the surface. It looked great before applying the top coat. I wish I would have got pictures of it beforehand. But the spray I used left a hazy residue and small bubbles on the POR-15 areas. Not a deal breaker or anything. I just want it to work. But if I had to do it again, I would use a different product to top coat. All in all.. very satisfied. Quality product. One last thing - this is potent stuff. If you have gloves, use them. If you have a respirator, use it.
