I usually get a pack of these every 6 or 7 months, and they work great. No matter what brand, the problem with all of these holders is that the string will snap from use. That's unless you have the metal string which I haven't tried yet but will look into it. Anyway, since I use it constantly to swipe and open doors in the 90-plus buildings I go into, it definitely gets a workout every day. I use two badge holders together with 1 lanyard, 1 for my ID and 1 for my key card. They do the job and the price is pretty good too.

This is not going to be the standard review for this product because I purchased this and another product to put together to solve a problem. I am half blind and I need my 2.0 reader glasses with me at all times as well as a 10x monocle so I can read the ingredients in tiny print on packaging. I recently purchased two different monocles that fell apart quickly, one didn't even come with the chain as advertised. So, I tried again and found this one - it comes in a three pack. One of several upsides is that it has a protective covering. And it's a bit larger as well as seems well seated in the frame. Then I ordered a three pack lanyard that has a retractable thread so I can pull the monocle next to my computer screen without taking it off. At the same time that I put the monocle in the shopping cart I did another deep dive and found this lanyard, that also comes in a three pack. So, now I have three monocles each on a lanyard that, amazingly, also has a retractable thread that makes it possible for me to stretch my monocle over to my computer screen to magnify those nearly invisible boxes I am required to click on when checking out. I do wonder why web designers think that is a good idea even for folks with good eyes but nevertheless, I am all set now. Not to mention I have two spares as well. One last thing - I tied a loop in the lanyard to have a safe place to hook my readers in. I wear this like a very special necklace now. It goes well with every style.

I bought three of these Keylion lanyards with retractable cords in May 2021. Would I buy again? Yes. They last about six months before the fabric covering the "fishline" cord frays. That does not make it unusable or unsecure, but it stops retracting easily. I put an access card on this and use it roughly 10-50 times each work day, so I don't expect it to last forever. The product security would be improved if they replaced the triangular wire that holds the badge retainer to the retractor, with a small split key ring. That's what I started doing, because the wire would eventually bend open and the badge retainer would fall off. THAT is a huge problem. I would use a pliers to close it up again, but never really trusted it after the first time. Another improvement would be an engineered breakaway lanyard to reduce the chance of strangulation. It would be acceptable to me if this were a single-use breakaway. I've had lanyards in the past with friction fit plastic breakaways that eventually would not hold any more, and there's not always a good indication of when that's going to happen.

I purchased the item for my teenage son's school ID and it is perfect. The ID holder has strong materials and can be used for daily busy use. The package comes with two additional plastic pockets if needed. Excellent product at fair price.

I really like this set. The lanyard they give you is non-breakaway, and light and breathable which I like. The retractable string is connected, and it holds the provided badge holders with ease. I've had it for about 2 months and no rips in the holder's connection points or yellowing. The holders are really good quality, I even attached my tap transit card along with my work badge, and it can handle the weight easily.

It does the job well and I love that it totally encloses around my ID badge for work. I don't have to attach myself to the walls to get access to the building and to clock in for work as there is a nice length it can extend when pulled. No regrets.

Ok I guess. I rarely use it and bought too many. Maybe I was attracted by the price of it in bulk.
