Bought these to hang a steel porch swing for my wife. Before I had used screw-in hooks and they made lots of noise when you swing. These are nice and quiet, and are well made. The mounting is done using screw in bolts, and would work well if mounted to a strong beam, like a 2x6 mounted in the direction that the swing will swing back and forth. My mounting was to multiple 2x6s but going in the opposite direction, lengthwise ro the swing. Since the mounting holes didn't center on those 2x6s (too close together), I had to improvise and used 8" bolts that went through the 2x6s and then through another 2x6 laid across the others, and used a washer and nylock nut to hold it in place. Should hold a ton of weight, literally.

Title says it all. It’s sturdy, swings well and is silent, exactly what I was looking for.

Very easy to install and so far appears to be very sturdy. I would have liked the option of attaching the lag bolts on the sides (there are no side holes for attaching) instead of the top/bottom as our location had a beam but was not the depth that would fit the lag bolts (width wise would have worked perfectly). To resolve we first attached a 2”x10”x48” piece of wood to the beam then attached this bracket. Units operate very smoothly and make NO NOISE which is fantastic. Have yet to see how they stand up to NC weather.

We bought this to replace the hardware on our swinging hammock chair. It used to rub and squeak loudly. Now my swing is silent.
