Reasonable value
I enjoy Viking knitting, a wire technique for making woven chains, and recently started using stainless steel. The 316L alloy is ideal for the purpose, since it's especially resistant to salty sweat. (The same alloy made to tighter specs is used for surgical implants.) I've used copper, brass, and silver in the past, but steel is a bit different. It's stiffer, so thinner wires are easier to handle than the same size of non-ferrous metal. Finer wires give results I like, so I wanted to see how far I could push that design parameter. Answer: not this far. 36go wire has a diameter about 0.13mm - for comparison, human hair is commonly about 0.1mm. I've gotten great results with 30ga wire (lower gauge is thicker). 32ga works, but not as easily as 30ga, and even 34ga is tough to work with, but still usable in limited cases. 36ga is just too thin, not stiff enough to lace through the gaps in the woven pattern. This wire seems like perfectly good stuff, just not for my application, and that's not the wire's fault. This cost half what a movie ticket would, and I got my money's worth. I consider the price to be tuition for the lesson about using this material - even if I can't use it. -- wireweird

I used this to replace the wire inside my Sharper Image filter.
I have multiple sharper image filters that use the stainless steal wire for ionization. Occasionally these can get snagged and break or come loose in the dishwasher or from mis-handling. I ended up purchasing this wire and (36 ga). and some ball fishing weights and they work perfectly. Now I will be good for many years to come. This is very thin, but very strong and perfect for this use.

Super Super Thin!
Not worth the money or the time waiting for it. It’s paper thin and not what I was looking for, this suck!

Silver!
I had to return it because the gauge was too small and there wasn't a lot of it. My fault not theirs. From what I saw it appeared to be good quality

As expected
It works fine . In Kumihimo, it's difficult to work w bc it's so thin, it doesn't fit snuggly, but it fits all the beads I like to add.
