There are lots of COB (chip on board) led light strips but I was after something flexible that didn’t have uneven lighting. For the money this works very well and my electrician was able to solder this straight to the connecting wire for a proper led dimmer module. I have it in an aluminium channel which has a clip on diffuser on top and it’s great. Easily illuminates a room if you use 5m of it. You can do corners with it but they have to have a minimum curve of a tennis ball if you want it to lay flat and you’d also probably need to use clips as well. Self adhesive backing is strong. The actual strip seems waterproof as leds are encapsulated in a silicon strip but cut ends and power termination is not. Recommended.

I'm building a garden office and I used this LED strip to light up the decking outside. The strip is very bright as seen in the pic. Very happy with the purchase. Keep in mind that these are white only, not Rgb. But for an outside light this is all I needed. The waterproof feature is also good for using them outdoors. I've put mine in a diffuser strip, I powered it with a 100amp power supply and I have a cheap LED wifi controller to make it smart. Overall I'm happy with the purchase, I've had it for a couple of months now and Ive had no issues with frequent use most nights.

Lovely light, bright, cable length is not important even though it comes with different terminals you can do what you want to cut and make your own lengths. The instructions aren't fully clear on that but you can cut join any length - very functional. Call it value ☑️

Brought this to replace a old led strip light, the difference is night and day, so bright and vivid! The adhesive strip is really strong…. Much better than previous strips iv used, gives a seamless strip of light! Looks great! Excellent value for money

These look great when installed and appeared to be good quality but unfortunately they're starting to fail already. These have managed 2 months of light use in summer and I've lost a section of them already. I'm not expecting the rest of them to last much longer. Especially with winter on its way.

DIY product. It's supposed to be super bright. Simply not the case. It is bright enough to use to light a shelf etc, but not a room. Even with 4x 5mtr rolls. Dimly lit small room really. I bought it to fit inside recessed ceiling profile. Certainly not fit for that purpose. Hobby/DIY product. Not commercial

Review of TOPAI 24V COB LED Strip 5000K. This is a very decent strip. It matches to the top expensive brand in brightness (although this is not the brightest strip I tested). The color temp was spot-on at 5000K. It pulls about 1.27 amps at full brightness for the 5 meter (16.4 ft) strip. SInce there is NOT power adapter included, you will want a 24v, 2+ amp (48 watt) adapter. I think the 2.5amp is a common size. It is rated at IP65 which means can work in damp locations, but don't go overboard. It states a CRI of >90 which is good however, I don't have any way of testing for that. It is cut-able at about 2 inches. One end of the strip has the 2.1mm power adapter end. the other end is bare wire. This strip does NOT come with a power adapter nor a dimmer. Like all strips, it comes with adhesive on the back of the strip. However, do not trust it on anything short of non-porous surfaces (IE: Aluminum channel). You should use aluminum channel anyhow for the best adhesion and dissipation of heat. You will get longer life out of the strip. All in all, this is one of my preferred strips if ultimate-brightness is not required (IE under toe-kicks, bookshelves, etc). The price is really good for how it performed.
