It is not oak but mahogany!
I bought this as a present for my husband and was very disappointed when it arrived, as it is not oak at all. The online photo is very deceptive & looks nothing like the actual item. It will be returned.

Barometer side doesn't work. I sent the original back (Amazon returns work great) but the new one is exactly the same as the one I sent back. Can't be bothered to do it again.
