Works beautifully, nano zinc oxide based, no SPF booster! [Botanity Zinc Sun Lotion SPF 50+ PA ++++]
Botanity's Zinc Sun Lotion is an exciting find for me. I checked the ingredient list against the EWG Skin Deep database and found that everything was scored 1-3. It's zinc oxide based, and I absolutely LOVE that they didn't sneak in a reef-unfriendly SPF booster like butyloctyl salicylate. It works really well on my neutral light/medium skin. Rubbing in the runny formula did not add a lot of shine and did not leave a whitecast. The pale pink color is extremely light, so this works similarly to an untinted mineral sunscreen. The description states that it does contain nano zinc oxide, but it would also be nice to know the zinc oxide concentration. (Perhaps it is not required in Korea?) At $23.99 for 50mL, this is more of a splurge for me rather than a daily sunscreen. Here's the ingredient list from the back of the box: Water, Zinc Oxide, Propylheptyl Caprylate, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Butylene Glycol, Disiloxane, Lauryl Polyglyceryl-3 Polydimethylsiloxyethyl Dimethicone, Calamine, Isotridecyl Isononanoate, Niacinamide, Isododecane, Polyglyceryl-3 Polydimethylsiloxyethyl Dimethicone, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Magnesium Sulfate, Methyl Methacrylate Crosspolymer, Triethoxycaprylylsilane, 1,2-Hexanediol, Polyhydroxystearic Acid, Caprylyl Glycol, Glyceryl Caprylate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Adenosine, Tocopherol, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Ginkgo Biloba Leaf Extract, Camellia Japonica Leaf Extract, Brassica Oleracea Italica (Broccoli) Sprout Extract, Triticum Vulgare (Wheat) Sprout Extract, Medicago Sativa (Alfalfa) Extract, Eruca Sativa Leaf Extract.

Good sun protection with little white cast
This Botanity Zinc Sun Lotion provides good sun protection for my face and neck. I recently wore it when I was out for a few hours in the mid-day sun and I didn't get burned. The sunscreen goes on smoothly, with a minimal white cast. I'm pretty light skinned, so the cast was only really noticable on my tattoos, but it might be problem for someone with a darker skin tone. It doesn't leave my skin oily, which is a plus over traditional sunscreens.Since it's a zinc sunscreen it's reef-safe for use at the beach. I also prefer Zinc sunscreens because they work immediately, as opposed to traditional sunscreen, which takes about 20-30 minutes to work after application. The ingredients on the tube are printed in Korean, so even though it has approved ingredients you may have trouble taking this in to an ecological park where they check your sunscreen at the door.Overall, this is a pretty good option for a reef-safe facial sunscreen.

Almost elegant sunscreen
Light mineral fragrance. Very lotion-y, not thick. The runny texture allows easy even coverage. It does live up to its lightweight texture claim. Unfortunately, it's not suitable for medium or darker skin tones because of the white cast it leaves. It's not extremely kind to nose edges either (flaking), and there's some pilling even on well moisturized skin. To be fair, it's an appropriate amount of pilling. This formula is also much more elegant than The Saem - Eco Earth Pink Sun Cream, and the scent is much weaker (a plus). However, I would not gift this regardless of any person's skin tone, so I can't recommend this to the general public. To those who can use and love mineral sunscreens, this is the most elegant one I've tried so far (I've tried many American mineral sunscreens as well as the previously stated Korean sunscreen).End of day update:Sadly, this sunscreen is drying. My skin gets a stinging, burning sensation of dryness after wearing this for the full day. I don't get that with the pink sun cream from the other brand. Sorry, deducting another star.

feels wonderful
I have sensory issues with many sunscreens. But, not this one! Scent is very light, much lighter than what I've used before and becomes unnoticeable. Applied easily and dried without that typical sticky/greasy feel. It applies and feels more like a lotion.I have oily skin and was able to set with a matte powder and it looked flawless all day!

Almost perfect!
First, this product arrived very well packaged, sealed, and smelled pleasant (not perfume-like but very clean). The texture was smooth, not overly thick, and blended well (though my complexion is very light, so I don't know that I would notice any sort of white cast on myself).I found that it did trigger a breakout on my chin, which isn't uncommon in my experience with some sunscreens. It worked very well on my body, and stayed on, performing well even while hot! This is a good value for a mineral sunscreen.

Super bummed!
Super bummed about this Botanity Zinc Sun Lotion - Tinted Facial Moisturizer. When I saw a Tinted SPF Moisturizer + Primer, I got SO excited! Just to be majorly disappointed. This is a huge fail.It says it’s tinted. If they mean “tinted white cast”, then I guess you can call it “tinted”, but definitely not tinted at all, just leaves a white cast.It also says it acts as a silky smooth primer - not at all. It’s smooth, I’ll give it that, but does not act as a primer at all. It made my pores and fine lines look worse since it seeps into them and made my skin look and feel super greasy which in turn, makes my pores and fine lines look worse.Definitely do not recommend. Unfortunately had to throw it out..

Sunscreen
I like this sunscreen. Like many other korean sunscreens, it doesn't leave a white cast or film on your face. But I also make sure to apply it thoroughly. It feels light and doesn't cause any adverse reactions to my skin (I have sensitive skin). It sits well under makeup if you are looking for a base with sun protection! I always look for spf50 for sunscreen so this one fits the bill and I haven't had any issues so far.
