Tap Wrench
Good quality tap wrench for price, only used a couple of times so far but it’s well made and works well.

Very useful small tap wrench for small taps.
Bought this tap wrench for the small taps that I have. Found it useful that the taps are not over leveraged and reduces the chances of breakage.

Good Tap Wrench For the Price!
This is a solid and well made tap wrench. Comfortable to use up to M16. Only slight niggles are that the locking pin is not spring loaded and you need to manually push it back to insert a tap plus there is no v-notch in the pin. The lack of a notch in the pin means that ALL the force is only on two sides of the tap sitting in the v-notch of the anvil. In use this means that taps can rotate and quickly wear the notch if the wrench is only tightened by hand. A tommy bar of some sort is necessary to ensure that the tap can't rotate on the flat surface of the locking pin. Not a big deal however and the wrench is good value for money for such a sturdy tool.

Solid beast
Very solid tap wrench. Not the comfiest of wrenches to use due to the shapes on the handles but performs as it should. Only annoying thing is the small part the locks the tap in place is not attached to the screw part of the handle. This means that when you unscrew it to insert a tap you need to give it a bang on your hand or table to knock it out if the way. Apart from that it’s great for the price.

Good grip on taps and nicely made
Found the adjustment stiff at first. Unscrewed the main adjuster and lock nut and wiped the threads off with a rag. After that it was smooth. Just tapped a couple of M2 threads using it and it held the tap square and rock-solid. The knurled lock nut makes it hold the grip very well.

A proper tap wrench at a budget price
Robust and very sturdy tap wrench, clearly better made than those cheap tap wrenches which come with many budget kits. Has nice deep central jaws to clamp a decent length of the square drive on the tap without wobble.Used this on first job with an M16x2 tap no problem and the design allows plenty of space on the arms for purchase and grip. Did not flex or work loose at all during operation - it has a handy locking ring which prevents the screw backing off.Was delivered liberally protected with oil and is nicely finished with no burrs or sharp edges. If, like me, you’ve been frustrated by cheap holders which wobble and work loose part way through the job then this is exactly what you are looking for to do a good job. Very nice bit of kit.

Sturdy but perhaps flawed.
Not bad for the money but I'm not keen on the fact the tap is only clamped with a 90 degree angle on 2 faces with the screw engaging on the corner edge of the tap on the opposing side. Given enough time this may cause undue wear to the square drive of the tap as well as providing less secure clamping especially on smaller taps. Still a step up from cheap stuff you find in kits with a nice sturdy feel but it ain't no cut price Starrett.

Massives Windeisen

Buen articulo, bueno bonito y barato
