Great build quality, super loud headphone volume, balanced audio, great functionality, easy to use
These are really awesome! I bought two of them for two of my daughters. These things are not disappointing at all! I can vouch for everything except for the battery life as I haven't tested them for more than just a few minutes to make sure everything worked. But from the reviews online and if what the advertisement is saying, and basing that off of the really good build quality super solid, then the battery life is probably also really good. The screens are really nice and bright. Good colors not washed out. Navigation is also pretty easy, some people said outdated but, it's simple to use. The buttons have an option to be on all the time, off all the time, or they light up when you touch the buttons. I thought at first the purple one was going to be hard to see in daytime, but the buttons are super bright. Also, the FM radio is actually pretty amazing. The only feature I don't understand is the FM recording, but otherwise the FM radio has an option to let the mp3 player preset all available stations that it picks up on, or you can go and just set ones that you like. If you press and hold the back and forward buttons that will act as a seek function. If you tap the back or four buttons that will act as a tuning option. Also the mp3 player gives you an option when you're exiting the radio to leave it playing in the background or shut it off, and if you leave it playing the background, the mp3 player seems to have no issues with performance. The mp3 function is probably even better. I had a few songs on a micro SD card and when I put the card in it does pop up with internal and sd card storage options. Also in the mp3 settings will be a way for you to scan the music files, this is necessary to make the mp3 player usable with your music. But out of I think 70 songs it only took the thing probably 7 seconds to scan. After the scan was done, that gave options for everything you would expect with genres, artists, albums, it also has options to add favorites and all that. I did not test out the video playback and picture playback stuff, but again I'm sure it'll work just fine. The audio recording and external speaker work really well. The audio recording comes out pretty clear and I do not need to hold it right next to my mouth for the thing to pick me up with good clarity. The recorder has options to record as wav or mp3 formats. I suggest changing it to mp3 as the native setting is wav and takes more space. I did not test out the Bluetooth function, however I will tell you that it is turned on from factory settings so if you don't plan on using it, make sure you turn it off to save your battery. I'm sure some people won't and then complain about battery life not being good. As far as headset quality goes, it gets loud, really loud. I thought that these would probably do okay on volume but definitely they get loud even with decent not necessarily high-end headphones. It is a little alarming how loud they get so definitely make sure your kids not cranking them up all the way. My hearing is bad and it was not anywhere near close to its max setting and it was kind of hurting my ears. Really setting seven or eight on the volume of 30 is actually plenty loud enough inside a quiet house. Sound quality was also nicely balanced. There was some decent bass, nothing punchy but you could tell it was present and the treble level did not sound overpowering and was not tinny. Again, very nicely balanced. They seem to come pre-charged from the factory. The startup time and shut down time on these units is actually pretty quick within about three or so seconds. Again, really super units, I was pleasantly surprised with how well things worked.

Good product. Good value.
I have been very happy with this player. It has even survived a few times being dropped. Easy to use, and add music to. Even bought one for my 9 year old son, who is rough on things, and we've had no issues. Would recommend if you want a bugdet-friendly, reliable music player.

Controls Will Take Some Getting Used To
Was in need of a dedicated music player since my phone doesn't have a dedicated music player like the previous one I had. It took a while to get used to since I haven't had one of these things in years. Top noted things is that it's not touch screen. You have to use the touch buttons to navigate to the sections you want to visit. Haven't tried connecting it to my computer but did bring my music over using a microSD card. Music Files and Playback I have a mix of OGG, WMA and MP3 files and all of them play without issue. With that said, getting a hold of the playback options is a work in progress even with the user guide. I tend to listen to music with shuffle activated but had to disable it as it was playing the same few songs on repeat. And it didn't seem to matter which song I clicked on, it would revert back to playing the previous collection of songs. Currently just listening to the music in order until the Shuffle feature is figured out. Music Output Haven't opened the earphones that were sent because I was planning to use the Bluetooth feature. The Bluetooth earbuds (onn. brand) work great but there is a volume difference. I have to turn up the device volume just to hear anything. You also have to reconnect the device when turning it back on; it's remembered but hasn't reconnected automatically of the times I've used it. As soon as they're disconnected, the volume coming from the device is pleasantly loud. Having it at a 10 seems to work seamlessly when transferring from one listening piece to the next. I've also listened to the device using my 14-year old Coby wired earphones; 10-volume still works. The one ear piece that isn't compatible with this device are my USB-C earbuds. Music Play Time (after a full charge) Wasn't entirely sure on this, but I did a little test to get an estimate. If you're using the device with the screen on majority of the time, you can get around 6-hours and 10-minutes of play time before the device will cut off [Day 1 of Test]. If you're using the device with the screen off majority of the time, then you can get around 12-hours and 44-minutes of play time [Day 2 and 3 of Testing]. The way I did both tests was to check the battery status every hour to see where it was at. I did the always on test first and used the resulting time to test the almost always off (I had to activate the screen to see the battery status every hour). After the 6h 10min mark, only 25% of the battery was used [there are four bars on the battery meter so assuming each represents 25%]. At the 8h 42min mark I turned off the player; at this time it was down to one bar. When I resumed the test the next day, the player gained a bar. 2-hours in and the player was on its last bar. 3h 57 minutes (includes the 2-hours) later the device gets turned off (had to go do something and didn't want to miss the cut off time). Resumed play later on and despite showing signs of gaining a bar, the player only played for 5-minutes before cutting off. Total, it was 4h 2min on Day 3 + 8h 42min from Day 2 = 12h 44 min. Screen On = 6h 10min battery life Screen Off = 12h 44min batter life Bonuses: 1) You can listen to the device while it's charging which is great when you don't have a backup source at the ready for listening to music. 2) It was budget friendly.

Perfect MP3 player
I have never went wrong with an AGPTEK product. My daughter picked another player and it was cheap and broke easily. This player was around the same price point and we got it as a replacement. The quality is amazing. It is very heavy duty and the screen and buttons are responsive. Sound quality is great as well. It has expandable storage and the battery life is awesome. Thanks!
