My preferred choice for clear coats

I began using GSI Creos GX- series clear coats back in 2017. The latest iteration of the GX clear coat series is GX-112 Super Clear III.It is intended to be thinned with GSI thinners and sprayed through an airbrush. It is fast drying, and can be sanded between coats to build up a deep, hard gloss. I think the "UVCut" in the name implies a resistance to yellowing due to light exposure, but i'm not positive.In the jar, the consistency is very thick; like Corn Syrup. It needs to be be heavily thinned. If not thinned sufficiently, when it is sprayed thin "gossamer webs" and "strings" will form.However, it's almost impossible to thin it too much. If properly applied it is safe to touch after 45 minutes.Its designed to be thinned with GSI Creos Mr Leveling Thinner, though Tamiya Lacquer Thinner will work in emergencies. I routinely spray this over models i painted with Tamiya Acrylics or Mr Color Lacquers to protect the relatively thin layer of paint from chipping. When fully dry it is resistant to solvents like turpentine and mineral spirits, commonly used in weathering techniques.Once applied, Super Clear UVCut can be "Carpet Bombed" with straight thinner in order to level out the surface and impart a more consistent gloss. When dry, it responds well to wet sanding with 4000 grit wet micro mesh and finer grits. It also takes polishing with rubbing compound and toothpaste well.It is faster drying than Future acrylic floor finishes and is less prone to run. However, if not fully hardened it is vulnerable to etching by decal solvents like Micro Set and Micro Sol.This and the other GX clear coats have replaced my Future and other finishes as my first choice of clear coat. As long as its thinned properly it works beautifully.

初めて使いましたが透明度や光沢感など問題ありませんでした。基本製作物をあまり日光の当たるところには置きませんがUVカットはもしもの安心感があっていいと思います。

簡単に塗れる。どの程度効果がまあるかわからないがUVカットが出来てると思うと満足。

私は車のプラモが完成しましたら窓際に置いてますので何時も使用していますがどの位効果が有るか解りませんが使用しています艶出しだけの事でしたら他に良いものが有るのかな解りませんが

レジン作品用に購入しました。スプレータイプと比較するとコスパ悪いなと思いました。結構粘土が高くてムラなく塗るのが難しいです。耐久性はスプレータイプより上です。
