ErgoFoam Shoulder Surgery Pillow for Sleeping - Rotator Cuff Pillow - Post Shoulder Surgery Pillow

In concept, this is great and I used it for a bit to relieve the pain in my shoulder. That being said, this is not a perm solution for a side sleeper, sadly. ITs malleable but firm memory foam and feels quite solid. Its mid weight so not super easy to move around but thats a good thing to keep it from slipping and sliding too much.

It is so big and I am a big gal!! No support at all. Don’t waste your hard earned money.

For me this product didn't work out for a couple of reasons. It's huge. No getting around that, My arm just falls out soon as I am on my way sliding into home in Dreamland to smack me hard in the face. This is NOT conduscive to sleeping but more to screaming (when randomly smacked in the face every single time try to sleep, THEN screaming due to the pain - so haha then OMFG OW). Gets old REAL quick. Pillow would work so much better if, once arm positioned and wrist slid into place was a strap over the opening so people trying to sleep will not slap themselves silly each time they finally get to sleep (difficult activity, sleeping with torn rotator cuff itself!). That would have solved my problem enough to put up with the massive size of this thing. Instead began the psychological training of negative reinforcement and punishing myself each time I finally fell asleep. So donated this pillow was (hopefully to someone with far bigger wrist than I so arm will stay). Better for BDSM/punishment than it was for sleeping for me.

Once we got over the hurdle of how to use it, this became my dad’s favorite pillow after his shoulderl surgery. He used it in bed, on the couch, and even took it with him when he went to smoke his cigars in his den outside. It does need about 2 days to unpack and fluff up completely, so take it out of the box ASAP.

So useful when my mother-in-law had shoulder surgery! It made recovery more endurable by providing a better rest and support. The size was appropriate.
