So my girlfriend has been lamenting the loss of her favourite hair product (Melanin Milk) from Sephora as it has been out of stock for months. After looking at the ingredient list, I decided to try and replicate the product but with small customizations (to give you an idea, we are using jojoba oil, blackseed oil, coconut oil, shea butter, rose essence, aloe vera gel, eucalyptus, etc.). MYOC makes a variety of products that really helps DIY projects; we have tried their emulsifying wax, cetyl alcohol powder and magnesium aluminum silicate powder, all of which help thicken and act as a binding agent. We had been using 100% vegetable glycerine as a presevative so I was very happy to order this product to test it out. While I have not tried this yet, I will definitely update once we have used this in an upcoming batch, By the way, for anyone interested in making body moisturizers or hair products, my recommendation is to go for it. You can make customized solutions and mixtures that feel much more effective than brand name products. If you make them in larger batches, you really get good value and it makes for a fun activity with a partner. This product with allow you add more water without all the components separating )primarily the oils) and creates a product that is much more pleasant to handle.

It arrived a bit earlier which is great, I added to my hyaluronic acid serum and works great!

I've been using Germall Plus for years, usually order from Canada, but decided to try this supplier on Amazon. Took forever to get here, and product look like water (usually had to use .1% not .4%) - lost many batches before realizing it was not the same Germall Plus I usually bought. What is the purpose of making my face cream or lotion with .4% preservation on my face - no thank you!! I've ordered some Optiphen Plus, but never got it (not the supplier's fault), so I can't compare with it. I am done with this supplier.

It works, but I paid a lot extra for customs. This product comes from India and so I paid double and had to pick up from my post office. Also the price was steep considering it’s from India and so small!
