How portable is this? Can it be stored in a garage and brought outside and placed in your lawn when needed and then returned to the garage

Great question. I do just that, keep the mat in my (semi-heated) garage, and bring it out to hit on throughout the northeast winters, which are quit wintery. While the 4'X5' mat is portable, it is fairly heavy and awkward to move out of my garage to the flat spot on my driveway where I hit. This is not a cheaply made mat, the rubber backing/padding is quite thick. I'm a bigesh guy (6'2" - 230lbs), and although it is quite doable for me, I have my doubts about someone who is either female or elderly handling this sized mat (sorry if that statement is not PC correct). Another issue with the mat is that because of its size, I cannot lay it down flat in my garage (not unless I park my car on it, which I do not wish to do; so, I lay it against a wall where the mat bends. The problem is when I bring it out in cold weather, it does not lay flat on the ground because the rubber has stiffened to the bend. In warm weather this is not an issue.In Summary, I would recommend this mat, but I suggest that one does not get a mat any larger than you need unless you intent to keep it in one place.

Does it leave marks, film on your clubs?

Unlike other types of mats, this mat does not mark up the bottom of your clubs.

Does this need a concrete pad?

I had it on a deck. I don't think it needs a concrete pad as the rubber base is very thick and stable.

will using this mat damage my finished concrete pool deck?

I use this mat in my garage. My garage floor is painted. The mat caused no discoloration or issue.
