Versatile Camping Lantern
I was worried about the performance of this lantern. It took over 8 hours to charge it the first time. Then I couldn't turn the lantern on. I would press the button and it would come on and immediate turn itself off. Not sure what was going on but after 10 minutes or so of trying, it eventually fully lit up and it was fine. I tested all colors and light intensities. Everything seems good now. The first real test occurred with my wife's class at school. It was campfire story day and the lantern helped set the mood. The kids loved it. Hopefully I won't have any troubles in the future turning on this lantern. I'll update if anything changes.

Excellent Value for Emergency or Camping Lighting
Once charged, the Crodial lantern brings light and fun wherever you end up. This is my favorite emergency pack addition and IMO the best valued gear. If you have little ones and experience any type of power outage or storms, seriously, grab this! We have all sorts of lanterns and even a generator lol. But during a tornado when you’re stuck in the basement, the colors are a great distraction! I’m 100% satisfied with this light.

One of the best items I've ever reviewed on Amazon.
What a cool idea! This LED lantern has more features than I had imagined. It of course has a bevy of light modes. There are 6 different colors and 5 brightness settings for each plus flash SOS sequences and a charger for your phone! There is even a standard nut that allows you to screw this onto any modern tripod or table top tripod. The have included a sturdy metal hook on the bottom than allows the lantern to be hung from a tent ceiling, carabiner clip etc.The top bail is metal as well. It has a rubbery surface for added grip. My favorite feature is the 5V 1A (5 watt) output allowing you to charge other devices. This will slow charge a phone or a bluetooth speaker. I have my Samsung S21 FE charging in the photo. It's 'slow charging' at 5V @ 300 mA or 1.5 watts. This could come in handy in an emergency. I really like the orange color. This device has a very 'European' look to it.Oh and it's only 7.25" tall (10.25" with the bail raised) x 3.5" wide x 3.5" deep. Weight is 13.3 oz or 375 grams. Perfect for a backpack!100% recommended!

Great for camping!
Absolutely love this light for camping. It is rechargeable, which is super nice that if we have to leave the campsite in the middle of the night, we have this to help us along. Lasts all night!

Loved it in camping! Good Stuff
The CRODIAL LED Camping Lantern is a highly functional and versatile tool for outdoor enthusiasts and those preparing for emergencies. Its rechargeable battery and power bank functionality make it a practical choice, while the waterproof design ensures durability in various conditions. The adjustable brightness and RGB mode add to its versatility, making it suitable for a range of activities. Despite the longer charging time and potentially unnecessary RGB mode for some, this lantern offers excellent value and functionality, making it a must-have for camping, hiking, and emergency preparedness.

Multiple color lantern
What makes this lantern neat is that it as multiple colors and 5 levels of intensity for each. The colors are red, green, blue, fuchsia. The modes are solid light of each color, strobe blue and red light, rotating through the colors about a 1/4 sec each. Then there is also a white light that can be cool white or warm white with 5 light intensity settings. One really nice thing is that the light keeps a memory of the last light color and intensity setting. When turning off and powering back on, it retains that last setting. One thing that is not totally intuitive are the controls. I've outlined them here...Power (circle with a line in it): 3 seconds on. 3 seconds off. Single press to switch between white light and colored light (always starts with red).Mode (M): For white light: Single press cycles between cool white, cool white and warm white, warm white, strong light cool white then warm white.Mode (M): For white light:Intensity (star burst): 5 level of brightness from high to low.Hope this helps you. Nice lantern.

Great lantern for the price
For about $20 I'm impressed with this little lantern. While it's all plastic except for the top and bottom "handles", it does feel fairly sturdy. One of the things I appreciate most is the on/off function...hold down the power for a couple of seconds to turn it on and off and it will remember the last setting so you don't have to cycle through a bunch of modes as is common with many LED flashlights. I do wish the inner dome over the LED lights was more like the lantern as it can be a little harsh to look directly at those...like it would be if you hung it upside down in a tent. I also will likely never use the RGB+ mode, but not a big deal. I tested charging an iPhone 14 Pro and it went from %73 to %78 in about 20 minutes...not the fastest charger out there but it's handy if needed.

Lantern was a lifesaver the very day we received it
The media could not be loaded. We in NDG (Montreal) experience power failures very frequently even on days when there isn’t a cloud in the sky or a breeze in the air. We need to always be prepared. I’ve needed flashlights and lanterns so often that all the batteries are running low. I am getting tired of having to buy batteries for lanterns and all my current lanterns require batteries.I ordered this lantern and wouldn’t you know, I was at my friend’s house when it arrived. She lives across the river from Montreal and experiences even more outages than I do. The power went off that same night. As luck would have it, we had charged the lantern and were able to use it. I can attest to how much light it is capable of providing. Her bathroom has all interior walls (no window for light) so we hung the lantern in front of the big mirror and it really lit up the room so we were able to shower in safety.I know this is intended to be a camping lantern but it’s a fantastic home/emergency lantern and is much more convenient than battery-powered lanterns. I just make sure I charge it after each use so that it is ready for the next power outage. I am seriously considering replacing many of my current lanterns with lanterns like this. The only problem is that if the power is out for more than 24 hours, the charge will run out and won’t be rechargeable until the power comes on or until you can get somewhere with power to recharge it. The listing indicates that at full power (100%) the lantern will work for 5 hours. At 75%, you’ll get 7 hours. At 50%, the power will last for 10 hours. At 25%, you’ll have light for 20 hours and at 10%, you have 50 hours. In addition to providing regular white light, the lantern has coloured lights available which include red, green, blue and purple. There are also different light levels for each colour (listing says: Standard Light Modes (WHITE) (6500K-4000K-2700K-SOS) and RGB mode (Red, Green, Blue, Purple, RGB Flash, Colorful, Smooth, Red & Blue Flash). 5 level brightness available(100%-75%-50%-25%-10%), dimmed by briefly pressing brightness button). The lantern is a nice orange colour and has a large handle on the top which can be used to suspend the lantern. This handle can also be used for carrying the lantern. There is another handle in the bottom of the lantern so that the lantern can be hung upside down. When doing this, it is recommended to remove the light diffuser (opaque “glass”) to better distribute the light. There is a timer which can come in handy. Being a camp lantern, the unit is waterproof but should not be submerged. Extras include a standard nut that allows you to affix the lantern to a tripod, an output which allows you to charge other items in the slow-charge mode and memory retention (goes back to the last setting). The lantern is not cheap and costs around $60.00 but considering the jams it could be a lifesaver during, it is a good investment.P.S. I apologize for the picture quality. I'm not great at capturing moving light.

Good quality lamp.
The media could not be loaded. Out of the box:1. Camping Lamp (Model: YYD-01) (Brand: CRODIAL);2. Charging Cable (USB-A to USB-C) (20”); and,3. User Manual.I noticed the Model Number shown at the sellers' page is LYD-ORANGE-1P.The model shown on the lamp is YYD-01.I am using what is on the lamp. The sellers’ page states the lamp is Waterproof.Using the word ‘waterproof’ is misleading; however, reading further along it states. ‘IPX4 levels of protection, withstand splashing rainwater in all directions’.Scrolling down further it states it is IP54.The 5 means the device is dust-protected. Some dust may enter the device, but it will not interfere with its normal operation, and the 4 means the device is protected against splashing water. Water splashed against the device from any direction will have no harmful effects.IP54 does not mean that the device is waterproof or dustproof. It is still vulnerable to dust intrusion and damage from high-pressure water jets or immersion. The lamp material is ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) which is an impact-resistant thermoplastic. It is a strong and durable material. The lamp does appear to be rugged. In addition to providing light, it also has a USB-A output port (5V / 1A) for the charging of devices such as smartphones. My smartphone was down to 12%; I used the CORDIAL Lamp to charge it up to 100%. It took 1hr, 39min.This is a user friendly lamp that has a reasonable amount of selections.Power Switch:1. Quick push and release will show you the power amount (green lights). The lights will go off after about 5-seconds.2. Push and hold will turn lamp on (takes about 3 seconds). It will be either White or Red. Quick pushes will alternate between the White and Red.3. Push and hold and the light will turn off after about 2 seconds.Intensity button:With the light on either White or Red, when the Intensity button is pushed and released repeatedly, the light will cycle through five brightness levels.Mode button:When the light is White, repeatedly pushing and releasing the Mode button will cycle the light through three color-temperatures (6500K-Cool / 4300K-Natural / 2700K-Warm), and a steady flashing strobe light (described as SOS, but it is not the actual SOS which is 3-short – 3-long – 3 short). When the light is Red, repeatedly pushing and releasing the Mode button will cycle the light through steady Red, Green, Blue, Purple (looks Magenta to me) and various cycling and flashing colors. The colors and intensities look much better in person than they do in my video. There is a 2-hour timer that is set by holding in the Intensity button until the light flashes 2 times. I tested it out by setting the timer at 9:40am. The light turned off at 11:44am. I consider that close enough. That is great for saving battery power if you fall asleep with the light on. At my age, it happens often, lol.I am in my upper 70s and do not go camping anymore, but I can see how useful this lamp would be on camping trips. It is lightweight, small in size, and gives a pretty decent amount of light. It can even be mounted on a tripod.I live in a location where, on occasion storms (including hurricanes), have caused power outages. I will be keeping my lamp charged up and ready to go should outages occur. I would suggest having some charged up power banks on hand to recharge the lamp if required (long power outage).I give 4-Stars to this Camping Lamp (Model: YYD-01) (Brand: CRODIAL). I would have given 5-Stars had the price been a bit lower.Note: I had just submitted my review when I found another listing by the CRODIAL store showing exactly the same lamp for $36.99 and a 5% coupon. The one on the CRODIAL Store page I reviewed shows the price as $60.99. I do not understand why that is (same seller, same product, significantly different price).Because it is the same seller (the CRODIAL Store), I am putting the link to the page that offers the lamp at $36.99 (Canadian) and a 5% coupon. If you get it for that price, it is a 5-Star lamp.I am leaving my rating for this review at 4-Stars, because of the higher price shown.https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B0D2XF2D4X/ref=nav_signin?psc=1&pd_rd_i=B0D2XF2D4X&pd_rd_w=1s6E2&content-id=amzn1.sym.e33a1a1f-9190-427f-b07a-458b2621d6c1&pf_rd_p=e33a1a1f-9190-427f-b07a-458b2621d6c1&pf_rd_r=XV93MRQW5BNSZDA43YK4&pd_rd_wg=20ZeO&pd_rd_r=caade3a4-1edf-46fd-9b10-a32048eb026b&s=electronics&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9kZXRhaWxfdGhlbWF0aWMIf I have any problems with this lamp, I will update my review.

Quite bright
I first like that there are several light colour modes that the lantern has. I have found that I prefer the warm white light setting the most. However I also like that I can easily change the colour, and even to a strong strobe light. The actual brightness of the lantern is pretty good, and easily illuminates my tent, or picnic table. It can be dimmed to a surprising degree. However on the dimmest setting, I found that there really wasn’t much light to see by.It is also nice that there are two ways to have the light come from the lantern. The traditional way, with the cylindrical cover, has a large handle . But once the cover is removed, the light isn’t confined anymore. I personally found that taking the cover off, and carrying the lantern by the small ring in the bottom, offered more light. I did find it quite difficult to take the cover off at first though. I kept thinking I would brake the lantern, but thankfully I was able to get it figured out.The battery lasts a long time. I got a good 3 nights on several weekend camping trips, and the lantern would only drop to half charge. The large green indicator lights are also very nice, as they are very easy to see.I usually bring several battery packs with me on our camping trips, so I haven’t needed to try the charging function of the lantern yet. I do like that it is an option to charge my devices from the lantern though.Overall I would highly recommend this lantern to other campers. It does everything I need it to, and more. I would definitely buy it again.

USB-C Rechargeable Camping Lantern with great features
The CRODIAL LED Camping Lantern is a lightweight but powerful lantern. The builtin metal handle is stiff, but swivels well, has a non slip rubber covering and allows you to firmly hold and carry the Lantern without it swinging around. Can easily be hung by the handle on a chair, table, post, vehicle roof/door hinge, tree branch, tent and many other ways. The bottom has 4 non slip rubber pads providing stability when placed on a table, desk or other surface. Also has a builtin hook to hang the lantern upside down (provide more light) and a standard tripod screw mount to place and secure the lantern upright on a tripod.I like all the different ways the lantern can be used at home or out camping, very flexible design. There is a Builtin 5000mAh rechargeable battery which is recharged thru the USB-C input port with the provided USB-A to USB-C cable and a USB-A power source (not included). When I go camping, I always bring with me portable USB power banks to recharge USB devices like this lantern, always making sure everything is fully charged before leaving. There is also a USB-A output port that allows charging other USB devices, but this will deplete the internal battery of the lantern, so I would suggest to only use this in an emergency for example, to charge a smartphone to make a call. The lantern is a bright orange, so hard to loose or miss finding in the dark. The lantern has 11 different lighting modes available.- 7 RGB modes can be used for lighting during a party with friends- Wireless lamp with Daylight, Natural and soft white lights or with RGB lights- S.O.S. Blinking white or RGB light for emergency assistance- 5 levels of brightness for white or RGB- 3 white temperatures and 4 RGB colorsAll the functions are set with the Power, Mode and Light buttons.- Short press the power button to display internal battery charge level. 4 green lights indicate 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%- Long press the power button to turn lantern on/off and when turned on, previous light setting is default, very useful- When on, Power button switches between white and RGB, M button changes colors and blinking colors, the Light button changes the brightness of the lightSo combinations of these 3 buttons are needed for the desired light effect. A little bit confusing until you get the hang it.Internal battery fully charges in 4 hours and will last from 5 to 50 hrs, all depending on the chosen brightness level. Has a 50,000 hrs Long life span which is very long. There is a 2 hour timer that will turn off the lantern and a Night Light Function.Overall, very well designed camping light that I would definitely recommend.

Super handy light for camping and travel
This is a nicely constructed lantern for camping, or other uses. The build quality is decent, with an all plastic body, but good quality metal hooks, the main one being coated in a nice textured rubber. I love the fact it is rechargeable, as I hate dealing with disposable batteries. It is quite bright at maximum output, but I also do like the fact it has multiple modes and intensity settings for different situations too. The battery remaining indicator LEDs are easy to see and read, and help ensure you’re never caught with a dead lantern. I like that it has multiple mounting options, but the best part is it can also be used as a power bank for your USB rechargeable devices when needed! Genius idea and saves precious carrying space. All in all very happy with this lantern.
