These work great on hardwood floors. I can't tell the difference between these and my older set on another chair that cost over double the price. Very good quality, thread, hair and string don't get tangled up in them hardly at all, so they never get crunchy sounding and stop rolling like traditional casters. Only caveat is to know your post size, even some non Ikea chairs need the smaller post size, and if you order the wrong ones they don't fit. They can work almost too well, if your floors aren't level you'll always find your chair in the low spot. People with mobility issues who struggle with getting in and out of chairs should be cautious because the chair can easily roll out from under them when they're trying to get in or out. I strongly recommend them to anyone unhappy with traditional casters, my family have ended up with three sets of these so far. Installation is easy, pull out the old ones, shove these in, but does require strength. Pliers can help with getting the old ones out, and careful application of a rubber hammer can help get these in the rest of the way. If they go in part way, they fit, just push harder. Only if they fall out or won't go in at all do you know you have the wrong size.

Arrived on time and packaged well. Was doing research for office chair wheel replacements as the ones on the chair started to go. Came across these and did some more research. Purchased and they are good, strong, they roll very easy, easy to install, no more marks on the floor as the old ones use to do and they look great!!! These wheels put new life in an old office chair. I just installed a new glass desk mat to protect my wood floors and my old chair wheels were noisy and I was worried they might scratch the mat. Wheels were easy to install , quiet and smooth. I would recommend these wheels

I put these on my office chair that had the typical wheels and were worn down, not to mention had hair and stuff stuck in between the wheels (I use this chair as my homeschooling chair at home and it is in the thick of things at my house). I decided to spend the extra bit to buy these roller blade wheels. They are so cool. The wheels are really quiet and swivel easily. High quality and I enjoy rolling around in my chair like I’m a middle school student again. They were really easy to install. They fit perfectly in the standard wheel slot, just pull the old wheels out and the new ones in. I had also recovered the chair to have a turquoise canvas material because it was black pleather that kept flaking and was done for. I’ve easily given this chair another 10 years of use. Spend the extra bit, it is worth it.

I like that the wheels roll smoothly. I like that they are easy to clean and hard to jam up (when you have dogs, their hair and toys are hazards to wheels). I like that they are silent.My co-workers like that it raises my chair by 2.5 inches. TWO POINT FIVE INCHES.Now the chair is too tall for my old footstool. My feet barely reached the round when I sat in it before, when it was 13" high. Now it's 15.5" and my feet dangle when I sit. I have to give a bit of a hop to sit or stand.I guess once I get a taller footstool, it won't be so bad. At least the chair is still too short for them to actually like. I mean, the average lowest setting on office chairs tends to be 16", so it's still shorter than that, by a smidge.I'm retiring soon, so the chair won't be my problem after that. I only have to deal with dangling feet fr a few more months. It will be OK. I can manage it. It rolls nicely. Yeah. It rolls nicely.Good wheels.

These replacement casters are great in that they can be easily installed by using a large adjustable plier. The wheels function smoothly over carper or tile, and are reasonably priced.
