Nothing Better for a light lub and more.
I have used LPS Products for more years than I care to say. I was introduced to it probably in the 70's. My friend said it did everything that CRC 5-56 did and more. He showed me he could start a car that had a wet ignition by spraying the distributor cap. He showed how it was fantastic to use on TV Tuners back in the day. It lubricates as well as cleans electrical switches and it does NOT conduct electricity, so no fear of shorting out anything if you get it on it. It leaves a very light film of lubricant on anything that is sprayed and stops it from rusting. Surface tension is light and that is why it works well on switches and things like that. It may seem a bit pricey, but it is worth every penny. It is approved in aircraft industry for working and lubrication, so that alone has to tell you it has passed many tests. I remember seeing a small electric motor being put into a jar with LPS-1 in it and the motor just kept on running. I can't live without a can of this around. It fixes almost as many things as a hammer and duct tape do. I haven't read the can in a long time, but I used to think of LPS as "L"ubricates, "P"enetrates, "S"tops rust. I have no affilation with this company, but probably should as I will try to sell this stuff to anyone using something else. I love this stuff that much and it has never failed me over the years.

Best Dry Lubricant
LPS-1 is the best dry lubricant around. I use it on door hinges (car and home), locks, and other situations where metal rubs metal. For the Model Railroaders, this is the best product to keep your locomotives running! I've been using this product since 2005 to "clean" my tracks. Use a masonite board (1 inch x 2 inch) under a HO scale boxcar (search the Internet on how to make) to spread a thin film on your track (and locomotive wheels) as you push the boxcar with your locomotive at least twice around. If you have multiple locomotives, let each have a turn. Let the LPS-1 dry for 30 minutes and you're done! I do this ONCE a year and my locomotives run GREAT! Give it a try!
