Excellent quality, easy to operate, smokes/grills as advertized
This is my first pellet smoker. I have been using it for a month now, and have smoked chicken, brisket, and grilled steaks. I have been very pleased with the qualilty of the unit and the performance and ease of using the automated controls and the app. I chose the Weber over the Traeger in part because I am hoping not to replace my existing Weber Genesis grill which has served me well but after many years is crumbling into a pile of rust. The Searwood had no difficulty reaching 600 deg, and beautifully seared/grilled the steaks. The downside is that it burns through a lot of pellets vs. smoking at 250 deg. The Weber pellets are expensive, so I intend to look for pellets that are more cost effective. I may still replace my Weber grill, but even so I have no regrets with the Searwood. One more point; I bought the XL model which is really spacious and you can feed an army. If there are just two of you, or you don't entertain large crowds, the smaller model would be excellent as one would assume it uses less pellets.

Great smoker/ grill
So far the Searwood has impressed in every way. Nice smoke flavor but not overpowering. Heats up fast and really holds temps. Griddle accessory is a great add on.

Does't Work & Worst Customer Support I've Ever Experienced
The Weber Searwood XL 600 grill promised to be a high-tech, premium addition to my outdoor cooking setup, but it has been an unmitigated disaster from the moment I turned it on. I was excited to leverage its smart features via the Weber app. However, my enthusiasm was quickly extinguished when the app failed to locate the grill. Despite meticulously following every troubleshooting step I could think of—restarting the grill, resetting my Wi-Fi, checking compatibility—nothing worked. The grill’s much-touted connectivity was a complete non-starter.Frustrated, I contacted Weber’s customer service, only to be met with a maddening 30-minute hold time. When I finally reached a representative, the next 60 minutes were spent redundantly repeating the same troubleshooting steps I had already tried, to no avail. The representative’s solution? A vague promise that a “tech team member” would call me back "within 72 HOURS!" I was appalled. What kind of company leaves a customer hanging for three days over a defective product? Worse still, the representative insisted there was no other recourse.Three days passed. No call. On day four, I called again, only to endure the same infuriating runaround. By day five, still without a resolution or even a courtesy follow-up, it became clear that Weber’s customer service is not just incompetent—it’s utterly indifferent. This is, without question, the worst support experience I’ve ever encountered. Weber’s complete disregard for its customers is shameful for a brand that claims to be a leader in the industry. The Searwood XL 600 was supposed to elevate my grilling game, but instead, it’s a $1,000+ paperweight with a side of frustration. I’m returning this grill and taking my business to a company that actually values its customers. Avoid Weber at all costs unless you enjoy being ignored and underserved.

Weber Searpoint 600XL Near Perfection
The media could not be loaded. Weber got this right but not perfect. The performance and service are top notch. Preferred the grill from Amazon due to great extended insurance. Being my first pellet grill I felt extra insurance would be worth while. All accessories were ordered directly from Weber. They offer. Military discount which is very appreciated. What’s imperfect is the Searpoint 600XL doesn’t come standard with side or front shelves. That’s an upgrade, very worthwhile IMO. The instructions were terrible. You can assemble w/o instructions with a bit of common sense and mechanical knowhow. That said written instructions along with pictures would be nice. No electrical cord management but Hatbor Freight power outlet with USB ports is magnetic and works like a charm. The rotisserie is awesome, versatile and another nice accessory.

Awesome Smoker and Grill
Fantastic smoker. The ability to set a temp and not have to worry about making adjustments or feeding wood or coal are is incredible. I smoked a pork butt for twenty hours (low and slow) over night and didn't have to refill the pellet basket until late morning early afternoon. It's great for regular grilling as it imparts smoke even when grilling at normal grilling temps. It doesn't sear super well, but it can be used to grill steaks. Youtube some videos of how to get it done (that's what I did). You won't get the deep sear marks of propane but you can get a nice medium rare steak with some smoke.

Love it
My first grill. Love it. I hate that it takes 15 minutes to shut down but other than that it's so easy to use, especially with the app. I have the front shelf, which is a useful addition. I have the rotisserie but I've only used it once, it takes a while to set up.

Built like a truck and amazing flavor!
Other reviewers are misleading saying it is light... this grill is almost 200lbs and built like a truck! It holds temps fantastic even in windy cool weather. Put burgers on and use smokeboost for 10 minutes then crank it up to 550 and get a nice sear (amazing flavor and perfect Medium burger). Best babyback ribs ever (3 hours at 230 then sauce and wrapped then cooked for 1 1/2 hours more) PERFECT. Can't wait to get the rotisserie and griddle plates. Has tons of cooking space. Did 4 racks of ribs and 10 ears of corn with plenty of space.

Great grill but some real issues.
The grill/smoker is a unique combination and very effective and multi-functional. Two very serious caveats of concern. 1. The pellet bin is not watertight. Heavy rains on 2 occasions created water infiltration which ruins the pellets, requiring tedious manual removal. 2. The lid is not secure, and can be blown open in medium wind conditions. Purchase, and use, a grill cover.
