This worked exactly how I expected. Yes gray will be lighter than the rest of your hair. Here are the steps I used:When using henna make sure to use a clarifying shampoo before application. Make sure your hair is clean.I mixed the henna with luke warm (not hot) coffee instead of water.I applied it to damp hair and wrapped my hair by using a plastic shower cap and a towel.I kept it in my hair for 4 hours then rinsed using conditioner and water only.Do not use shampoo for at least 3 days.Hair will be lighter and rough for about a week then it will get softer and darker.Henna takes some getting used to and this one has indigo too so it requires some adjustment.

I hadn't done henna or indigo in months so I had some roots growing in. I decided to try this out.I usually don't quick release my henna, but with this one I had to because the indigo in it demises quickly. To quick release Henna, you mix it with hot water. That's what I did. I also ended up sitting under a heat cap for the two hours I had it on my hair. It left my hair a medium brown color, so it does what it claims. Overall I prefer to dye release my henna separately, but this kit did do the trick.

No instructions in package or online. I used warm water with henna product to make a paste and applied to my beard and let sit for 2 hours. Coverage was not consistent and turned my greying brown beard orange. My beard looks absolutely ridiculous and un natural. Definitely not brown.

I really liked the ingredients, so I thought I'd give it a try!I did a 1.5" skin test on my upper arm before I attempted to apply this on my hair & scalp. I chose the upper arm as I knew daily chores wouldn't interfere or disturb the test area because of clothing, water or even slight perspiration.I followed the directions adjusting for a small amount to be used as my skin test. Since it was an area that was exposed to open air, the paste easily dried & stayed put on my skin. I got busy/distracted & left it on longer than suggested.The final results were a light vs deep true brown color with a slight touch/hint of a cross between brick red & burnt orange. ~ I liked it a lot!!! ~However, the "henna tint/stain" faded to barely visible within less than 24 hours. It's very possible that had I applied it to my actual hair, the results wouldn't have been so temporary. Hence, it's not fair for now to give it lower stars due to fading.+++ I had no allergic reaction, and I chose this as ~ I really appreciated the natural ingredients ~ so I may give this another try soon. Then, I'll update with the results. +++ Meanwhile, I'm not at all disappointed ordering this product as I also have future plans to test this as a dye in my handmade soap. I have been working on a recipe & design for an India inspired design & fragranced bar.
