This stuff is so stinky it should scare anything away. I recommend using gloves because the odor is very strong. I had to have some work done on the crawlspace of a property and the contractor asked me to make sure there were no snakes or anything under the house. I put them out about a week before he came and it worked.

I purchased item as we live in Vail Arizona and had rattlesnake on our turf in the backyard. The packets are scattered in various parts of the yard following the outline of our backyard and we haven’t seen any other snakes. However I’m not sure if the packets work or not but for the price I’m praying they are contributing to keeping our backyard safe! We have a large backyard and have endured monsoon storms and nothing seems to be affecting the packets. Also my German Shepard is not affected by packets.

So I have pets and kids and wanted to keep bull snakes and rattle snakes out of our yard. This stuff seemed non toxic enough and had good reviews. I made the awful mistake of tearing open the package the moment it arrived and reaching in to grab a packet to toss into the yard. Omg I could not wash the smell off my hand! I can’t eat anything garlic without flashing back to that horrible day! So far we have not seen another snake in the yard. But I don’t think the free range/house bunny rabbit likes to hang out close enough to the packets to enjoy the benefit of their snake-thwarting capabilities. He hops off the lawn into the tall grass… Also the gross smell wafts into the house if we have the window open. I gave it four stars so you might read the no-touch warning. And be warned about the strong smell. Otherwise I think it’s keeping snakes away. But I don’t really have a way to know since we only had two the whole season before I got them.

I am terrified of snakes and have moved to an area well known for them. I am also very scared of my dog getting bit so I bought these and spread them out as directed. So far they have worked really well. They have a distinct smell but I don’t find it to be a bad smell, in fact I like it because that means they are still strong enough.

Product description says that it is suitable for use in an RV. That is only true if you have no sense of smell or do not want to spend more than 5 minutes inside that RV. Once you take it out of the RV it takes weeks at least to get rid of the smell. We're still working to get rid of the funk out of the RV after six weeks and over a bottle of Febreeze. I have no idea if it actually works to repel snakes. It certainly repelled us right out of our RV. At this point I would prefer the snakes.

Our backyard is right against a government protected green space and is south facing with lots of sun. As a result we get a lot of snakes at our retaining walls/concrete porch. I bought these and some powdered snake deterrent to try and reduce the problem. I'm still finding snake skins and eggs within our garden beds less than one foot from these bags but it has reduced from finding 4-6 a week up to 4' long to finding one or two a week and they are shorter. So I guess it worked, but I wouldn't recommend unless you have a large snake population.Also as a tip they smell horrible. I placed one bag in my garage and it took about 2 weeks for the smell to reduce enough to not be irritating so keep that in mind if you have a confined area you regularly need to do work in.

We haven’t seen a snake around our evergreen trees since putting these packets down. They last a long time. Wear gloves when putting them down cuz the will stink up your fingers. I will buy more. 🤗

We have a cabin in the mountains where snakes are common, especially during the summer. I spread this repellent around the cabin before our last visit, and we didn’t encounter a single snake during our stay. It’s the best solution we’ve found to keep our retreat snake-free.
