Good, value for money tent
My wife and I have just had an excellent weekend camping in this tent for the first time. It was straight forward to erect, and spacious. Exactly what we needed.

Great tent, with some great features.
Review based on setting the tent up in the garden. That said, it went up quickly, has plenty of space inside and love the way the ground sheet in the front can be pulled back so if you need to put anything wet on the grass then you can. We are a family of 5 (2 adults, 3 kids (12,9,6) and it fits up all fine. This is not a tent for a weeks holiday, but a one or two night it will be great, and it's pretty light weight.

Family tent
Great for use as a family tent. Quite heavy so wouldn't want to trek too far with it in a rucksack. Very easy to build and dismantle after a few tries. Good space inside for maybe 3 adults at a push.

Good quality
Good quality. Perfect for my requirements. Easy to pack back as bag is oversized.

Vango Skye 500
Great tent , but far to big for 2 people and dog , that's why I bought vango sky 400 which is perfect for me now. Anyway, only 1st time to put it into one piece is taking a bit time however if you will do it once then you will know how easy and fast tent can be put up. Great tent even in cold nights, strong structure for high winds. Could be a bit to warm in summer days. Anyway I'm giving 5 stars for this price.

Initial Pros and Cons on delivery and intial setup
Pros:- Upgrade from my old 2 man Vaude tent, for more room and able to sit on chair in porch.- One of the only tents found that had a porch groundsheet included *see below- Easy to setup.Cons:-The photos shown of item on this page are incorrect. Shows the old model. The supplied, new model, has different (black) inner sleeping area and design.- *Although has a porch ground-sheet included, it is Not a bath-tub design, like the sleeping area. It's just a flat sheet that lies on top of lower grey flysheet bottom flaps and hooks in place. So it's Not 'fully water proof' if any significant water flows under tent. It is also Not 100% bug proof as bugs crawl up through the gap in porch area sheets or from open gap between inner tent and flysheet. This also means flying bugs Can get into porch area if door closed. So the description text misleading.- The inner sleeping area has a different design to shown and advertised as Lights-Out. This slightly misleading. It is Not a full black-out fabric and although coloured black it Does let a lot of light through. Giving shade rather than blackout.- Also different to shown in item photo, the inner has a relatively large mesh window which has no zippable closure panel! (See photo). So firstly let's light in, rather reducing any effect of the blackout material! It also allows cold air to enter sleeping area more freely. (My old tents have always had a closure panel to at least contain some of the warm air. Not quite sure reasoning of this new design). It remains to be seen if would ever use this in cold weather after tried it in summer weather). I might even make myself a fabric velcro panel to stick on to see if makes any difference.- The supplied metal pegs are useless. Simply trying tent initially on my garden lawn, couple of pegs bent with simple hand pressure. Would need to buy better ones. Why do tent manufacturers always get away with supplying rubbish pegs!- It appears strange that although the back rod arch has 4 guy ropes. Two to side and two to rear on the fabric. The front large hoop only has two side ropes. Seems like it should have a central front rope/s as well (just like the 500) to prevent high wind blowing front in?I needed this tent in a rush, and might in normal circumstances have returned it as it doesn't quite meet the description spec. I will adjust my review after tried tent a few times.

Seems ok
Bought for girl guides camping, good price and easy erection and bagging up after - fairly lightweight looks good. Did rain heavily one night and no leaks

Not waterproof and awful
3 nights camping but could only do 2. Had to pack up, didnt have any rain but misty mornings made it rain inside the tent! Condensation wasnt a problem in the bedroom but the living room is unusable because its not waterproof and any moisture on the outside literally drips and rains in. All out stuff was soaked. Front zipper always catches and gets stuck. Badly stitched bedroom material. loose thread in a few places.ruined put weekend. For the price get something better. Only pro's are its easy to put up just 3 poles but instructions are awful and wouldnt be good in the wind and easy to pack away but you will be waiting awhile for it to dry out first!
