Very pleased 😁😁😁
I purchased this "As New" from StudentComputers for £45 when the Amazon new price was £75 - subsequently Amazon reduced the price in the Spring Sale to £49 (but it has since returned to the original £75)....Anyway, I am very happy. The soundbar arrived next day in full commercial packaging (though the seals had been opened as advertised). Everything was wrapped and pristine with all accessories present and sealed. ie. The device was "As New" as promised.I was going to fix the soundbar to the front of the shelf just below our new "bedroom" Hisense Smart TV. However, this wasn't necessary as it just fitted below the TV on the shelf. As such, I didn't need to use the supplied brackets and screws etc.I used a new HDMI cable (alas, not supplied) to connect to the TV's HDMI-ARC socket and the corresponding socket on the soundbar. I then connected the UK power lead and turned the device on.The TV immediately recognised the new CEC device and now uses the soundbar for all audio. As such, the TV remote now conveniently controls the soundbar volume and power. ie. As regards use with the TV, the soundbar's own remote control is redundant. It is useful when I use say, a Bluetooth connection with my mobile or tablet, or for adjusting Bass and/or Treble.Sound quality (particularly the base) is surprisingly good for a soundbar in this price range. It's not up to Bose standards but is very acceptable in a small room and certainly a whole lot better than the TV speakers.....So I had absolutely no issues - and I am rather chuffed. 😁👌😁👌😁NOTE. There appears to be some confusion when using the HDMI-ARC connection to a TV. In this configuration, no other cables (Optical, AUX/RCA etc) are required. The audio signal is passed via the HDMI cable.I did find that an old HDMI cable I had in a drawer did not work. A new HDMI (2.0) works perfectly. ARC and CEC need to be enabled on the TV. On our Hisense TV, they were enabled by default - see photo.

Worth it. Able to use Sky Q remote to control it with HDMI ARC (depends on your tv)
Purchased for a 32" LG tv which, only has 2 x 5w inbuilt speakers, whereas this is max 90w. Straight away you can hear more deph of sound and clarity and lose that "tinniness" with some inbuilt speakers. It will never do what a full sized quality sound bar with a sub would do, but for the price (paid £50 black friday) for increasing the sound quality of a small tv or PC monitor, it's well worth it.I first used an optical cable which worked, but my Sky Q box couldn't be configured to control the volume of the soundbar with the sky remote as it couldnt detect it, and i dont want to use 2 remotes, but with HDMI ARC set on the TV sound settings i was able to then go to Sky Q settings settings>setup>remote>sky q remote (pick yours) and re-setup control tv ( I already had this setup on the tv but stopped after i connected sound bar, so hence "re-setup") with remote and then it was able to change volume of the sound bar with the sky remote and even go into stand by mode or wake up when you take the sky Q box out of standby or turn off. I will now put the sound bar's remote in the cupboard along with the LG tv remote and only use my sky remote for both, Happy days!A negstive, same as other reviews is that there is no text display on the bar, only a coloured LED so you need to read manual or work out with trial and error. I found that the light Blue LED is the colour that works with HDMI ARC.

Replaced for blown plasma tv speakers
Well i run my tv though a amp with 5.1 system all good but not for when you want to just watch a bit of tv without turning on everything, as my plasma tv is old so the speakers have now blown but the screen is fine, the answer is this sound bar, its not the best but for the money its great for 70 pounds its cheaper than a new tv. Ive found no problems setting it up even the bluetooth to my samsung s9 was so easy, no passcode, just found saved then play from phone easy. Ive contected it with a rca to phone for my tv as my optical out is going to my amp system, there is some modes news movie music not played much with these and to be honest i wont as if i need that i would turn on my 5.1 system amp. So all in all if are looking for a bar thats as big as a 49in tv this would fit just any smaller tv the speaker would be bigger. Ive put mine on top of my tv and held it on with duck tape, it does come with some brackets for the wall but my tv isnt that close so i will have to make brackets that will allow me have it on top of the tv without the tape. For a cheapish sound bar for a old tv its great with good bass and clean sound.

Cheap rubbish
Where do these 5 star reviews come from? This is by far the worst sound-bar I have ever heard. The tv has a better sound without it.I am extremely disappointed in this well known brand putting out such a load of rubbish, I know it’s cheap but this product is the biggest rip off ever, it came with no instructions no wall mounting brackets or screws and no cables except the one power cable.Buy if you like but you will be very disappointed in the sound and what comes in the package, spend a bit more and get decent sound. It is now ten months later. The soundbar will no longer play sound from the TV and when I spoke to Amazons 'technical' department they said that sharpe reconise this as a fault and Amazon would refund me within 1 hour of the collection of the faulty item, it is now 22 hours after the collection and still no refund and no soundbar either.my advise would be buy from elsware and not a cheap Sharpe soundbar, splash out and get a good one.

Needs to be set at a high volume
This is easy to setup, connecting with HDMI ARC so I can use my TV remote to adjust the volume. It’s inexpensive too, and nice and compact so fits comfortably under my 32” TV.The issue I have is the audio quality. It’s so-so at best, doesn’t really enhance the dialogue, and needs to be set at a high volume to hear any detail. Overall, it’s only a tiny bit better than my TV’s speakers. So there wasn’t much point!
