I LOVE shredded coconut but everything in the grocery stores has added sugar and I don't need or want that. This coconut has great mouth feel and flavor and has been great on my cereal in the morning and smoothies in the afternoon. Love the 4-pound bag too! Quality product at a great price (great value!). When I opened the bag, get the wonderful Frangrance of fresh coconut. Love that it is raw, USDA organic and without sugar or any other additives. The size of the shreds and delicate flavor is perfect for cooking uses. We have been using it 3-4 times a week in various recipes like green beans, muffins, pancakes and oatmeal. It is not over powering in the recopies and adds lots of fiber and nutrients. Initially I thought 4lb bag may be too much for some people but the amount we have been using will last for about six months. Love the Micro ingredient clean products.

First, the amount you get is massive, weighing in at over 3.2 pounds. The texture is a fine cut, making it easy to incorporate into cookies and bars without it being "in your face". There's a cookbook out by Carolyn Ketchum (The Ultimate Guide to Keto Baking) which has a chocolate-chip cookie recipe (page 142) that tastes so good that you'd think you were eating an Almond Joy bar...and yet it's sugar-free and keto friendly, as is the book. Since coconut is used is several of her recipes, I went and got what I considered to be the best deal on Amazon at the time. The quality of this coconut is wonderful!

I am a coconut freak! I know my coconut. I have been regularly buying a different brand from SriLanka here on Amazon but the price went up so I tried this as an alternative. At first I was really disappointed. However, after a week of use I'm kinda liking it. The shreds are very small, very dry and it almost tastes toasted, although it does not say it is in the ingredients. I use it for making coconut milk everyday for my coffee. The flavor is surprisingly good. I was really enjoying the other brand because I could grab a handful as a snack of soft juicy coconut and eat safely. This product is good for cooking and making milk but not safe to snack on without the risk of choking. That is the reason I am not giving it 5 stars.
