Seems like it gets good reception (I quick scanned the channels and got a lot of stations), take that for what it's worth though, I never really listen to the radio so I don't have much to compare it to. That being said I guess it doesn't really matter to me how great the reception is but I did get the 12" one just in case. The factory one got bent in the carwash and this seemed like a good replacement. It went on in about 2 minutes and works just fine for me. I think it looks a lot better than factory.

Two points here which are great. I purchased on Amazon and it stated delivery same day. I was skeptical, as I reside in a smaller community, however from order to delivery was 5 hours! That is what you expect and so rewarding when it occurs! Additionally, I placed on my truck and it took approximately 3 minutes. Easy, simple, and perfect fit. This is important as it offers multiple applications and this was correct. The reception is as good as I had and it does improve the looks!

Was easy to install on my 2025 Silverado 1500 Custom Trailboss. After a week it has worked great with no difference in signal strength being noticed.

I was Not impressed with reception strength of the 6” model. It didn’t seem as strong as advertised. The design is nice but sound quality for me isn’t where I’d like it. Update: Ronin Customer is awesome. They reached out to me because I was disappointed and we worked out a solution. I ended up going with the 12” and reception is much better. THANK YOU Ronin Customer Service you all are great. I am currently giving 4 out of 5 stars based on im not sure how the 12” will do when I put the cover in my truck. I’m hoping I won’t have to remove the antenna that’s why I was excited about the 6” version since I know there’s be no issues. Updates on that will come later. Last update to complete the process…. So I have a 2017 Chevy Silverado Classic Crew Cab and a Covercraft cover for it. The 12” antenna has to be removed in order for the cover to go on. Now, you can cut a hole in the cover and use a grommet to allow the antenna to remain on but I didn’t want to do that. So I’m short I had yo unscrew the antenna from the base which is a simple process. All in all I will remain at my 4 of 5 stars due to the fact all my personal needs we need satisfied. No knock on the product or customer service Ronin provides, but it just didn’t do what I was hoping. Thanks again Ronin for all you do

The antenna gives my truck stereo great reception while the stock antenna made a bunch of noise from bouncing around wen driving and this one is completely quiet and makes the truck look that much more aggressive

I ordered this because my stock antenna was hitting the garage door. Unlike a lot of people who order short antennas, I actually listen to FM radio some, so I wanted one that actually gets good reception. Some of the real short ones are mainlyfor looks as the radio reception stinks.. The 12" looks good and still gets pretty good reception. Definitely worth it.

I got my the RONIN FACTORY 5 Inch Flexible Truck Antenna for my 2017 Silverado 1500 mainly to get rid of that ridiculously tall, factory whip antenna. Overall, I'm very satisfied, but there's an expected trade-off that buyers should be aware of. Installation was literally less than a minute—just unscrew the old one and hand-tighten the new one. It comes with the correct adapter, so no fuss there. The antenna feels solid; it's made from high-grade materials (aluminum and silicone/rubber), not cheap plastic. The flexible design is a huge win for its advertised features: Carwash Safe: No more worrying about the antenna snapping or smacking the truck during an automatic car wash. Low Clearance: It easily clears my garage door, where the stock antenna was constantly hitting and bending. Anti-Theft: The TuffLock/SmartLock design gives peace of mind that it won't be easily unscrewed and stolen. Here is the trade-off. For Satellite/XM radio and Bluetooth audio, there is absolutely NO change—it works perfectly, as those signals don't rely on this antenna. However, for AM/FM radio, I did notice a very slight reduction in signal strength, particularly on weaker or distant stations I used to listen to in rural areas. Stations near the city still come in crystal clear. This is to be expected with a much shorter antenna, but it's important to set expectations. If your primary goal is to improve the aesthetics of your Silverado/Sierra, make it carwash/garage friendly, and you primarily listen to music via satellite radio or streaming (Bluetooth/CarPlay), this is a five-star purchase. If you rely heavily on distant AM or fringe FM stations, be prepared for a minor signal loss. For me, the convenience and look are well worth the small sacrifice in AM/FM range. Pros: Instant install, fantastic low-profile look, genuinely Carwash Safe, flexible and durable construction, anti-theft design. Cons: Noticeable, though minor, loss of reception on distant AM/FM radio stations.

Easy to install but you do need a 10mm key to remove the stock antenna on a 24 ZR2. Looks great on my new truck. And no reception issues but I live in the city.
