Ortopad Elite Boys Eye Patches - with Glitter Accents, Ages 2-4 yrs (50 Per Box)

Our child's eye doctor recommended this brand, and they have been great. After daily use for 6+ months, we have no complaints. They don't fall off or slip, come in a bunch of cute patterns, fit his face well and never irritate his sensitive skin. We could go a tad cheaper going patternless, but if getting to choose whether to wear motorcycles or jungle animals makes it that much easier, it's worth it for us. Plus, we get a lot more of "Aww! I love your cool motorcycles!" than "Oh no! What happened?" (Seems to happen a lot with the ones that look like bandaids). I will say that he was a very small, just barely two year-old when we first got these and the Mediums ("2-4 years") were still a better fit than the Juniors.**TIP:Taking it off is similar to peeling off a band-aid and can be uncomfortable, particularly in the beginning and for younger kids. Take a cotton ball soaked in baby oil and run it around the edge (so that it saturates about the outer 1/4" - it will soak right through the fabric). Wait 10-15 seconds, and then peel, using the cotton ball to wipe/dissolve the adhesive as you do. The baby oil breaks the adhesive and makes removing totally painless. (Now that my child has been using them for a while, he just peels them off himself when time is up, but this method really helped us earlier on).

My son has been wearing a patch (with his glasses over it) for 4 hours a day since he was 6 months old. He is now over 2 years old. In the beginning, we tried numerous brands of patches of all shapes and sizes. Some didn't fit the shape of his face correctly; most had either too little adhesive to where it would fall of his face, or too much adhesive to where we were giving him an eyebrow wax every day. We settled on these patches because they had the perfect shape and amount of adhesiveness, as well as not interfering with his glasses by rubbing/sticking to them. They have fun designs on them as well! I strongly suggest these patches for anyone that needs to use them for their little one.I can't really say a lot more then all these other 5-star reviews haven't said. Get these and you won't be disappointed.

I buy these patches very often for my son and usually do not have an issue he also loves the patterns. This last time we ordered them I am not sure if they got to hot during shipping or what, but the patches just did not seem to stick the same. They would fall off after about 30 minutes to an hour. Not every patch would do this. Hopefully this does not happen again.

I use this on my 5 year old son. We tried the nude color ones from walmart but it just doesnt look right. These are a great pattern and it looks great on him. we try to pick out the patches that will match his outfit. We live in south florida and my son sweats all the time so sometimes we use two patches a day. If we take a patch off for swimming sometimes I can reuse it when he gets out of the pool. We've been patching for 10 months now and my son has strabismus surgery 3 days ago and it was success! We will still patch for about another year but we started with 20/80 vision with glasses and now he's 20/35 vision from improvement from patching. I have no dislikes but I do wish there were more patterns. Maybe an under the sea pattern?

The product itself is great. They work better than any patches we have tried. My 4 year old likes the designs and likes picking out his next days patch. The patches stay on great and haven't had any come undone with 2 hours of wear a day on a busy 4 year old boy. I was shocked to find one of the patch patterns on the box not there when my son asked for it. I then counted up the patches and there were only 10 per design, because we were missing a patch design, we were missing 10 patches! The box was in perfect condition with tape over both flaps, so it did not looked tampered with or damaged, making me believe that it was the manufacturers poor Product Control that 1 design with 10 patches were missing. The product is already very expensive(deducted 1 star for cost), and the missing product made me take another star, otherwise it would have been a 5 star product. This could have been a single error for the box we received, but make sure to check your box when you get it to make sure you received all your patches.

My 4 year old son has been using these for months now. Once I bought the cheaper ones that are just nude colored with no fancy patterns etc. because I could get them in a smaller quantity.....we were coming up on his dr. appointment where he maybe would be told to stop wearing them because he was ready for surgery so I didn't want to order 50 if I only needed 10....but they wanted him to wear them for another month. Well, I realized during that time the difference between these and the cheap patches.....these stick on REALLY WELL! The others didn't stick well at all and my son would just end up taking it off because half of it was hanging off anyways and it bothered him. We never have trouble with these sticking or peeling off. He wears them for 2 hours a day and they stick on there and don't bother him at all. They also are working and the eye we don't cover is improving greatly so...he should be ready for surgery soon and hopefully we won't have to patch anymore ever. BUT...if we do...we will use these. They are awesome and worth the price. It would be cool though if you could order them in a smaller quantity.

Amazon does not let you return this item. We received it and it was too small. We didn't open the box but Amazon will not let you return it. Go with other brands that you can return if something looks wrong.
