covers less than advertised, not color-fast when you clean it.
i bought this to paint patio cushions that were water stained, even after cleaning. Rather than replace them, a friend suggested I paint them with Fabric Paint. The cushions were off-white and I thought a richer color like burgundy would hide stains better and compliment the color scheme of my patio.1. MAKE SURE YOU SPRAY/DAMPEN the fabric before you paint. It covers more. On the upside, you'll see your mistake pretty quickly. I noticed lack of coverage within the first few stokes, but that section of the cushion is darker than the rest.2. It took twice as much as I anticipated. Roughly $150 worth. I had to reorder 3 times to cover 2 patio chairs (seat and back), 3 (large) bottom cushions and 2 backs to my semi-circular patio "couch". (Even after spraying the last 95% of the job).3. I finished the cushions about 3 weeks ago. They've been out in the dry heat of Phoenix for all that time. Since we're into summer and I won't be using my patio until fall, I went to clean and store my cushions. Most required just beating the dust away, but one had water stains. I tried to spray it with a water hose, but there was still residue. So I tried to wipe the stain away. Instead my cloth turned burgundy as the color wiped off. Now I'm worried about cleaning them and having a guest sit on a not-quite-dry one and having a stain on their --- bottom ---.Bottom Line - I was ok with everything (including the expense) until color rubbed off on my cloth. I'll store the cushions for the summer and retest them in the fall. If the color still rubs off when wet, I'll have to pitch them and buy new ones, bearing both the expense of the new ones and loss of $ from buying Fabric Paint - and adding to the landfill <cringe>.

Amazing fabric paint
This doesn't bleed after drying and it's soft to the touch. Not stiff and hard . I used 2 coats to cover my 3 barstool seat tops only used 1/2 of this bottle. Very pleased with the results

Great alternative to buying new cushions-not that could find replacements anyway!
UPDATE 7/29/24- after several months of this paint on the furniture, I can tell you that it has bled when it rained, paint transferred onto pillows I had resting on the cushion, AND cushions have faded already. So, ultimately, I wouldn’t recommend painting the cushions at all with this fabric paint. I will follow up with photos in a day or two.Pic 1- Before! These lounger cushions are two years old and stored in a temp controlled storage room the winter and out on the lanai in the summer. (Central Florida)Pic 2- After! 1 lounger painted. Used 1 large bottle and was only able to paint one side and edges. What a differencePic 3- After! Closer pic of 1 of the cushions after being painted. There were some slight shade differences after 1 coat of paint. This was due to the way the cushion faded with sun, pool water and change of weather elements.Pic 4- Day 1 of purchase of loungers and cushions. For comparable purposes. (Bought through Amazon).Application was simple. Be sure to use not only an applicator paint brush but also a blending brush to brush over completely to disburse the paint and give it a nice finish. The color was spot in for me. I’m interested to see how it will work with someone laying in it after being wet from the pool. Will it bleed or rub off? Also curious on how long it will last. I’ll post pics after a few months in the sun.The color I used was Maroon.

Ideal for quick changes
So suprised at how well this fabric paint applies. We sprayed our chair with water before applying which made the application much smoother and spread the paint a little further. It does not fully cover coloured patterns but with a second coat I’m confident it would.Super pleased and can’t wait to try another colour!
