Makes all the difference especially on longer trips. We drove to FL this past summer and didn't have the Dead Pedal. My foot kept searching for a comfortable place to rest. After installing the SHEAM Dead Pedal Foot Rest Pad, all was resolved. The product is solid, well made and a valuable addition to my driving comfort.

This was a mostly straightforward install on my JL. Took about an hour. The upper mounting bolt is hard to reach and to see. Also, the middle mounting nut is hard to turn. Very short throw of the wrench handle. But once this is on, it is rock solid. This is not going to twist over toward the brake pedal. If you are putting a dead pedal on a jeep, you want total solidity like this. Oh yeah, and I do like where it sits for my foot. Just right.

All components were well-made and heavy duty. They fit nicely in my 2023 Rubicon 4Xe. Instructions were a little confusing and required a bit of study or I would have awarded 5-Stars. This is the second Dead Pedal Foot Rest that I have installed in a Wrangler, but the first in a 4Xe. You need to be a contortionist to do the job. That is not the fault of these components. Again, they are sturdy, well-made, and a good fit. It is much more comfortable to have the foot rest installed, especially on long drives, rather than having your left foot hanging. It is also very helpful for bracing yourself when traveling in rough off-road conditions. It is possible to install so that foot rest may be temporarily tilted up to remove floor mat for cleaning. I would buy again.

It's installed on my 2017 JKU. Very easy to install, maybe 20 minutes. My left foot is more comfortable when driving.

Adjustable Geep Gladiator "Dead Pedal" kit to support you right foot on long trips. All of the pieces are well made and well finished . Loosely fit the pieces together and road test your Jeep to make sure the mounting angle is correct before everything is tightened in place

Sounds crazy, but no place to rest my left foot while driving was becoming a deal-killer with my new 2024 Wrangler Sport JL 4XE. Honestly, I think it's insane that Jeep doesn't provide one. Guess that's good for the entrepreneurs at SHEAM who designed this dead pedal. Yes, it's compatible with my particular Jeep, which is awesome (and seemingly most Jeeps with all the extra parts). It's quite sturdy and totally solves the problem. As others mention, it's a bit tricky to install. I followed the pictures on this Amazon page because no instructions came with the pedal - just an inventory of parts. The real challenge is working in very tight space behind the gas pedal and break - all at awkward angles. This isn't SHEAM's fault. But once installed, what a difference!!! I took my Jeep for a spin and loved the feel of footrest. Especially when taking a tighter turn. I also like that you can adjust the position of the pedal depending on how you sit. Highly recommend this particular product based on my initial experience. Bravo SHEAM!

Directions suck. You will find a better solution watching youtube. The product itself is pretty good and seems to be good quality. You will have to remove 3 washers. The upper washer is then replaced by an extender and bolt with washer and washer lock. I would put the whole thing together then try to get the bolt in the upper portion first. It is a tight squeeze and is very uncomfortable. I'm 5'9" and 200lbs. Once you get the bolt in, the rest is easy. It is nice once you have it installed. Just looking at the picture is better than the directions. You will have a good amount of extra parts.

The box this came in says quality to me. Everything was packed beautifully. The peddle itself is very nice looking and matches my jeep peddles well. A closer look at the parts tells a different story about their quality control. One bracket had paint missing. One hole was not tapped completely, and the hardware didn't match. It's not hard to install unless you're old like me and can't bend as much. Getting up and down and bending under the dash is what killed me. A younger more flexible person would have no problem. Overall I still give it a four. It's much nicer and sturdier than others out there. I like the stability of a two-point attachment to the firewall. It also works great. I'm glad I bought it.
