Sent back. Faulty or too sensitive.
Plugged it in. Tested it with a BBQ gas lighter and it worked fine. However, it kept going off, so I waited 24hrs as I thought the gas was still in the air. Plugged in the next day and still going off. It seemed like it was either faulty or too sensitive, but confidence gone by then, so sent it back.

Peace of Mind
Installed this next to my GCH boiler. Better safe than sorry!Tested by letting some gas out of a lighter near the sensor to prove it works and the alarm sound is plenty loud enough.
