Are these racks sturdy enough to hold 2 kayaks with j-hooks?

Yes they will, we ordered these racks plus the 2 kayak j hooks for our 2018 jeep renegade and they are tightened pretty well to hold !

How much weigth this one can handle?

I'm not sure I think I put about a hundred and fifty pounds of stuff in my cargo box with no problems

Can i use this on a 2016 jeep renegade and will a j bar mount work for a kayak?

yes, I just installed mine last night. we had to file down the rear bar as it was just a bit to long.

I know they will fit a 2018 renegade, will they still fit a model without sunroofs. Not sure if designed only for models with sunroofs.
