Very good, not perfect – better than previous design
This is a replacement for the prior version of this product in our household. We actually went through two instances of the prior version, as the first one delivered by Amazon functioned for only about one month before it wouldn't take a charge and remain on reliably. Amazon replaced the product, and the replacement unit served us pretty reliably for almost exactly a year. One might like a product at this price to last longer than that, but see below. This version is superior in a number of ways: 1. The soap reservoir is completely open. When you remove the top/lid on this one, you have an unrestricted cylinder to fill with soap, which makes eyeballing quantity left and refilling very easy. The prior version had a "throat" just under the top/lid that made it practically impossible to see how much soap was left and also more cumbersome to refill. 2. The power button is a small, sliding toggle switch. Its size makes it a little difficult to turn off and on, but that's actually a good thing. The power button on the former version was a soft-touch press style, which resulted in inadvertent powering down when simply moving the unit. 3. The charging connector is simpler. The functionality of this dispenser is very good. We never have any problems with clogging (we use Dawn dish soap), and the variable dispense function based on hand/sponge proximity is a welcome touch. The charge lasts several weeks. Is the price kind of high for what it does? Sure, but this is one of those small quality of life items that you'll probably use a dozen times per day. I hope this one lasts at least a year; if it does, I'll by another one (assuming SH still produces the model).

Simple hand dispenser
Have wanted these sensor soap dispensers for sometime and finally made the purchase! Wish I would have purchased them sooner. No longer have water and soap all over my sink. Dispenser holds most soaps including dish. I have two and my kids say they are super convenient next to our sensor control faucet. Easy to charge and can switch off and on as desired. These are pricey but worth the investment so far. Includes samples of hand soap which I also loved but am going thru what I have on hand before purchasing. I can’t express how tidy these keep the sink area. Delivers enough soap without waste or a mess of soap everywhere. Only wish the dispensers held more soap. I refill more often due to a smaller container. Gold is a great touch for a modern look.

Please don't waste your money!
I wasted my money on this so you don't have to. Everything about this soap dispenser is wrong: - it has a specific charging cable that you'll inevitably lose, who needs ANOTHER charging cable??, which renders the dispenser useless once lost - it's completely opaque so you can't see how low your soap is - you can't control how much soap comes out - the idea that you control it by how far your hand is is total garbage Buy the $20 china knockoff from Amazon instead - it's battery operated (just get rechargeable batteries), has a clear line down the side so you can see how much soap is left, and has a dial that you can choose how much soap comes out. This was a totally overpriced waste of money that I'm dumping less than 2 months later because I have no idea where the charging cord is and don't want to dump another $15 (plus shipping) into this to buy a replacement cord from Simple Human.

Love It — Super Convenient and Clean!
We absolutely love this simplehuman soap dispenser! It’s sleek, modern, and works flawlessly every single time. The touch-free feature is a total game changer — no mess, no smudges, just the perfect amount of soap with every use. It’s also rechargeable, which means no batteries to replace (huge plus!). The charge lasts a long time, and refilling it is quick and easy. It keeps our sink area so much neater, and we use it constantly throughout the day. The design looks beautiful on the counter, and the motion sensor is perfectly sensitive — not too strong or too slow. Everything about it feels high quality, from the materials to the functionality. If you’re thinking about getting one, do it! It’s one of those little upgrades that makes your everyday routine feel just a bit more luxurious and effortless. ✅ Pros: • Touch-free and super hygienic • Rechargeable (no batteries!) • Sleek, modern design • Dispenses the perfect amount of soap ⚠️ Minor Con: • You’ll want one for every sink once you try it!

Sleek, Hygienic & Super Easy to Use
I really love this simplehuman sensor pump it’s made handwashing so easy, especially around guests. The touch-free design helps keep things hygienic and prevents messes, which is perfect in my kitchen and bathroom. What stands out the most is how intuitive it is: if you hold your hand close to the sensor, it gives you a small dab of soap; move your hand farther away, and it dispenses more. And the refill opening is wide, so topping it up is quick and drip-free. I also really appreciate how long the battery last, one charge with the included puck goes for about three months. All of my visitors figure out how to use it right away, no awkward instructions needed. It’s a great blend of style (brushed stainless steel looks sharp), functionality, and convenience. Highly recommend for anyone looking to upgrade their soap dispenser.

Good and clean improvement to daily sanitary needs!
This touch-free soap pump is super convenient — the sensor works smoothly every time, and the rechargeable battery lasts longer than I expected. Sleek build and easy to refill. Makes washing up feel a bit more effortless and tidy.

Great for Hand Soap, Less Ideal for Kitchen Duty
Works beautifully for hand soap—looks good, dispenses reliably, and the touchless operation feels like a small daily luxury. Build quality is excellent, which is what you'd expect from simplehuman. Charging is simple and the matte black finish looks sharp on the counter. That said, if you're hoping to use this at the kitchen sink, there are a few quirks. The spout is shorter than I expected, which makes getting soap onto a larger sponge a bit awkward. The sensor also struggles to recognize your hand when you're holding something, so it just sits there, unimpressed. Thicker soaps like Dawn don't dispense as smoothly either, at least in my experience. Value-wise, it's on the pricier side for what it does—definitely more of an indulgence than a necessity. But if you appreciate good design and want something that feels premium, the cost is easier to justify. Best for bathroom use with liquid hand soap. it works there without complaint. For dishwashing, you might find it a little limited. Still a quality product, just with a narrower sweet spot than I initially assumed.

Good buy especially to avoid getting the countertop wet
We have had this for a year and I love it. It is pricey but was worth it to put it on our kids sink. This has definitely helped avoid the wet mess that they made on the countertop from squeezing a regular soap pump. It is very easy to refill since it has a wide opening, we can just use regular softsoap brand in it. The rechargeable battery is great and lasts forever. We have only had to recharge it a couple of times over the past year. It does vary the amount of soap it dispenses (the closer your hand is to the spout it is supposed to dispense less) but I do wish that the minimum amount of soap was a little less. However it is still probably less soap than the kids were getting with the manual pump. As a plus it also looks sleek and it is not overly large as another one from a generic brand that we tried.
