Moin Moin, thank you for taking the time to ask me your question :) Furthermore, I would like to thank you very much for choosing us, because as a small start up, every order helps us extremely! Our products are currently still manufactured in China. Unfortunately, due to our small order quantities, this is the only possibility to find a manufacturer for our products at the moment. This is because German and also European manufacturers are not interested in our small quantity and/or the product. For the manufacturers, small purchase quantities initially represent a large investment in the form of machines and raw materials, and therefore our inquiries in the European region tend to be rejected. However, we are currently in discussion with some, open-minded, factories near our hometown Paderborn and also in Sweden. We are looking confidently into the future and hope to be able to produce in Europe soon. Nevertheless, our products are currently still manufactured in China by an extremely reliable and high quality producer. When selecting our producers, we pay meticulous attention that there is produced with the highest quality (e.g. extremely reliable seal / safe anti-cut edges / thicker material / better material composition etc.) and under extremely good conditions (German standards ). Of course we convince ourselves of this by letting us show the production on site :) We also have our producers do a BSCI certification, if they don't have one yet, to see if there is really fair production. [BSCI is a code of conduct developed by leading companies and the Foreign Trade Association (FTA) to create uniform social standards]. Finally, we have all of our products tested by DEKRA to be sure that we are bringing the most reliable and safe product to the market. What is the width of the mouth?

How long does ice last?

I use it primarily for hot coffee, and the insulation is good enough to keep it hot for several hours. I suspect ice would likewise be well insulated, perhaps lasting 3-4 hrs. I leave the cotton coat on the thermos to reduce thermal loss (or gain for ice)—a very lovely personal thermos.
