It's better than the original Blendtec jar, surprisingly. It's larger, and my husband doesn't have to increase the speed as much to mix his morning smoothie. He used to go to 7, but only needs to go to 3. Very happy!

I really wanted to love this blender. Unfortunately I had to send it back because the lid doesn't seal well and liquids came spewing out the first time I used it. It also doesn't fit the base tight enough and shakes when in use.

It works, but the fit is a bit wobbly, so there are some issues with how the base was manufactured. Other than that it does the job. Not enough of an issue to initiate a return.

Great alternative to original, works good. It is a little louder than original bottle.

My old Blendtec pitcher was leaking due to a faulty gasket. I saw good reviews on this product. So I thougth I'd give it a chance.It is about as good a quality as my blendtec pitcher. It is much larger (52 oz at top mark vs. 32 oz) than my blendtec pitcher. And it has worked for about a dozen or so smoothies.Two drawbacks:1) The gear fitting at the bottom is a little too snug and straight. It takes a bit of moving and twisting to get it in. The gear at the bottom of the pitcher is supposed to have a bit of a fillet to guide it into the slot. This one has either a very low tolerance, or has no "guide".2) The base of the plastic itself is a little wobbly. I have to hold my hand on top even at low speeds. But if you do that anyway, then no worries.

I have used this over the last few months just to get an idea of how good it is. Is it a perfect replacement. No. Is is an adequate replacement for what you pay. Definitely yes.
