5 stars for value - removes an average of 95% of impurities from tap water. I’ve bought a few of these, and that’s about the average. You’ll need to spend more if you want more removal - like $160+. I run this RO on my Waterfed window cleaning system without issue. Will last me 150+ jobs before I see a drop in performance.

Buy this product in June 2024 and I must change it, it started to pass high calcium content and the fatal water quality of 255 at the entrance I have at exit 155. This is a nice 4040 sized commercial reverse osmosis membrane. These are good for removing the majority of dissolved solids, sediment, and bacteria/viruses from water at up to 2600 gallons per day. This particular membrane is also meant for desalinization, making it appropriate for making ocean water potable. The membrane appears to be well made and I have confirmed that it fits in a standard 40 inch membrane housing. For the quality and the price I find it to be a very good value.

These membranes do not remove the chlorine smell or tast. They are a total rip off.

I got this to be the primary membrane for my whole-house RO system. 2400 GPD should be more than enough for a small house, I think. You'll need a 4040 housing, which Amazon sells many different brands of. I will have a 1000 gpd as a "backup" / "maintenance" membrane for when this is being replaced or serviced. If you need a high flow rate (2,0000+ GPD) this is one of the most budget-friendly options I've found.
