TELESCOPIC NGT FISHING BEACHCASTER ROD 12FT + REEL SEA BEACH + Mackerel Feathers

I bought two of these for when my grown sons are down on holiday in Cornwall. They are great value for money , durability and carry capacity makes them easy to use and even better to throw in the back of the car. Use for mackerel fishing and they dnt struggle brining in 3 marckerel at a time .ideal for those who want to start fishing at a low cost .

Ideal for beginners who don’t want a bit outlay on an expensive rod. In the old days I was always told never buy a telescopic rod, only either two or three piece rods. Things have moved on and now telescopic rods are just as good. I bought this as a compact travel rod as it folds little over 3 feet. It fits easily into the boot of a Peugeot 108. Ideal rod if you have a small car, use public transport or want to fish on holiday. The reel is a large spool capacity and seems sturdy enough. The price is excellent for both rod and reel.

Used this rod multiple times sea fishing, casts well (4oz weight seems to cast best), reel works well (I spooled with 40lbs mono). Have caught multiple fish on this rod and its handled fish to 2lbs so far with no problem and can detect bites from fish well below the half lbs range. Fully retracted its 1m long, so you'll need a decent sized bag to keep it in when travelling. I dont believe there is a more value for money combo for beach fishing on amazon.

Broke on first use just trying to screw the reel in. I didn't apply force at all, the plastic just shatters like it's been left in the sun for weeks. I had to stitch it to get any fishing done. Won't bother with the return, the reel is ok, the rod is now in the bin.

Fabulous quality and build; Telescopic Reel & Rod, just what you need during this great weather! Everything including a great looking 5 piece Flasher Rig. Comfortable handle weight & functionality. (Casting weight 2-5oz ) Computer balanced rotor with stop anti-reverse and salt water treated. Plastic cap with rubber tie hood was a great way to keep it shut while transporting.
