Legitimate item for JB Vacs. Price was fair, seems to last a few pulls and captures a good amount of the gunk and air. The Smell and color are legit. This is a bonafide Vac Oil.

I use this for a vacuum pump that is used as part of a harvest-right food dehydrator. I recently had some issues with the dehydrator, and as part of the process I changed the oil, just to ensure that oil was not the problem. The problem is that I used a different oil. TSI Supercool....an off brand that was MUCH cheaper than this at the time. Keep in mind though that this product was marked at $150+ per gallon at the time, I assume because the vendor was low on stock and decided to just up the price instead of delete the ad and repost it. This oil allows me to get to 300 mTorr within 15 minutes, where as the other oil prevented me from getting below a 1400. This is quality in performance, and from now on I will not use any other brand. *on a side note, there really WAS a problem with my device. And I spent MONTHS working with the company to troubleshoot and resolve it all. The oil being a problem only compounded other issues and made troubleshooting more difficult.

We have been using our vacuum pumps without replacing the oil in our shop so I finally bought some oil and cleaned out the oil and replaced it with this oil. Its clean and good and a good oil to use to lubricate your vacuum pump. However, you might want to note that it does give off a slightly weird smell compared to the stock oil that I was using but my vacuum pump seems to be working and well lubricated.
