The way this thing keeps our camera secure is insane. I didn't think it would be as sturdy as it is but its incredible. We have it on our backpack straps for easy grabbing for photos and have never had it fall. It's easy to use, makes removing your camera quick and easy and it seems to be quite sturdy. It's simple to mount to just about any bag or belt so we felt the value is 100% worth it. It works incredibly well.

I purchased this right before I left for vacation to go to the Sahlen's Six Hours of the Glen IMSA race this past weekend since I wanted a hands free way to carry my camera while I wasn't using it. I'm not a huge fan of neck and shoulder straps since the camera swings around and strains your neck which I didn't want that while I was walking around the track all weekend. I have to say this clip did great with my Canon EOS RP and 100-400mm lens. It was very secure and not once did I worry about my camera falling. I also love how easy it is to mount and dismount the camera. It was 100% worth the investment. Such an amazing product.

Absolutely love this little piece of gear. It's so handy when I travel and want to keep my hands free while also not having my camera dangel from my neck. It secure and easy to install/adjust on the fly. Definitely recommend if you're not trying to spend double for the Peak Design clip.

See update below Original review I like that the clip is capable of securing onto many size straps. Having taken it hiking I found that it squeaks a lot while walking and the release mechanism gets jammed very frequently. Highly frustrating to miss the important shot because I could not release the camera. Even WD-40 doesn't seem to have made any difference to the propensity for the release mechanism to jam. UPDATE: The jamming is caused because the lock slider gets easily jarred into a locked position (e.g. landing when jumping down off a boulder) even though the slider looks unlocked. Now that I realize what has happened I can fix it. Personally I always have my camera on a secondary safety leash in addition to the clip, so the sliding lock is a feature I would rather not have. For me it's more pain than gain because of the way it locks itself. YMMV. Upping from 3 stars to 4 stars. It's still a pain when it locks itself and it still squeaks but these issues are not as severe as jamming.

I love this thing and I’m not sure how I lived without it. I use it on my belt, backpack straps, 3L peak design sling and it works great on all of those placements. It’s easy to attach and feels very secure.

Had to watch a YouTube vid to figure out how to operate the clamp 🤣 but once you got it, it's awesome. I contemplated getting one of these for so long, I wish I would have when I originally discovered it. Being able to just holster your camera in like 1 second flat and move to the next location or to not have to set it down somewhere is a game changer. And you can unholster it one handed depending on your camera and which orientation you have the mount attached to your backpack or belt. I've used it on my pants belt for hiking a mountain, and on my back pack for photo shoots. I use a nikon D780 with a 24-70 and sometimes an 18-400mm, so it's not a particularly light setup. I had zero worries of it coming unclipped or the clip breaking. Its a pretty tight fit, though after a few days the mount wears in a tiny bit and it becomes a little wiggly but still a secure connection. And we're talking legit hiking with my camera flopping around smacking my leg lol. I was more worried about my magnetic lens cap and filter flying off than the camera leaving the mount. Will probably buy another one at some point.

Ich habe, seit mehreren Jahren, über 20 Capture Clips V3 von Peak Design im Einsatz. An jedem meiner Fotorucksäcke und Gürtel, sowie an ettlichen Zubehörtaschen, die mit MOLLE-Schlaufen versehen sind. Grundsätzlich ein gutes Produkt, wie von Peak Design nicht anders gewohnt. Spannend am Falcam F38 Clip V2 von Ulanzi ist, dass Ulanzi das Team von Peak Design in jeder Hinsicht geschlagen hat. Der Capture Clip hat zwei grosse und einen kleineren, wenn auch störenden Nachteil. Grösster Nachteil sind die beiden Schrauben zur Befestigung. Diese sind mit einer feinen Riffelung, an den Aussenrändern versehen. Durch das flache Profil des Schraubenkopfes ist es aber unangenehm, diese fest anzuziehen. Am einfachsten geht es mit robusten Arbeitshandschuhen oder einem festen Leinen oder Baumwolltuch zwischen Fingern und Schrauben, aber ein intelligentes Design ist das nicht. Es gibt längere Schrauben, für dickere Gurte, mit Innensechskantschrauben, aber leider nicht die normalen. Warum, bleibt Peak Design's Geheimnis. Zweiter Nachteil ist die Einschränkung der möglichen Dicke und Breite der Gurte. Vor allen Dingen an dicker gepolsterten, breiteren Gurten, wie sie an grösseren Fotorucksäcken zu finden sind (u.a. f-stop Tilopa 2024) ist eine Befestigung nicht möglich. Wie oben geschrieben, habe ich einige der Capture Clips im Einsatz und es meistens irgendwie, mit Quetschen und Fummeln hinbekommen, aber es gibt Grenzen. Die etwas kleinere Herausforderung ist die Sicherung gegen versehentliches Auslösen. Die kleine Drehsicherung muss nur um 90° gedreht werden, dann ist sie verriegelt. Dies passiert leicht auch mal versehentlich, was dazu führt, dass die Kamera nicht mehr eingesetzt werden kann, bevor man die Sicherung nicht wieder in die Ausgangsstellung zurückdreht. Der Falcam F38 V2 (sehr wichtig: die Version V1 ist gänzlich anders und, meiner Meinung nach, nicht konkurrenzfähig) macht jeden Einzelnen der Punkte deutlich besser. Die Befestigung, über ein dünnes, hochbelastbares Nylonseil, welches mittels eines durchdachten Hebelsystems gespannt wird, funktioniert viel besser, schneller und mit weniger Fummelei, als die Schrauben des Capture Clip V3. Es liegt ausserdem ein weiteres, längeres Nylonseil bei, welches ich z.B. für die Schultergurte des f-stop Tilopa 2024 verwendet habe, bei denen das Standardseil zu kurz war. Die Sicherung des Auslösemechanismus ist ebenfalls besser und griffiger gelöst. Was ich zusätzlich sehr gut finde: die F38 V2 Clips funktionieren auch mit den Peak Design Plates V3, so dass man theoretisch die Peak Design Platten weiterverwenden kann. Umgekehrt geht es leider nicht, da der Verriegelungsmechanismus der Peak Design Capture Clips anders aufgebaut ist. Man kann die F38-Platten zwar einführen, sie verriegeln aber nicht. Es gibt von Ulanzi allerdings spezielle Platten, die für beide Systeme gehen. Ich habe mich für diese Version entschieden, so dass ich einen Teil meiner Capture Clips (vorläufig) weiterverwende. Bisher habe ich 6 Falcam F38 V2 im Einsatz und bin von den Teilen begeistert. Ich hätte nicht gedacht, dass sich ausgerechnet Peak Design im Engineering die Butter vom Brot nehmen lässt, aber das ist hier defintiv passiert. Perfect product, werkt uitstekend en houdt niet alleen je camera direct klaar voor het pakken maar zorgt er ook voor dat het gewicht beter verdeeld wordt over de voor- en achterkant van een rugzak. Niet iets waar ik het product voor gekocht heb, maar nu juist een reden om de camera wat vaker in deze houder aan de voorkant van mijn rugzak te hangen ! V.w.b. de werking; absoluut vertrouwen in deze houder. Ik gebruik deze voor een Canon EOS R8 met o.a. een RF 70-200 f4 en tijdens wandeling in de bergen (alpien terrein, rotsen) blijft deze mooi in de houder hangen. Tijdens het lopen merk je weinig van de houder, hooguit dat er een camera aan de voorkant hangt. Er zit ook dermate weinig speling in dat je geen geluid hoort tijdens het lopen. De Peak Design zou dit wel hebben en die is ook nog eens duurder... Vandaag kwam ik er achter dat er ook een lock op de houder zit waardoor je deze niet ongewenst kan openen, handig, alleen niet direct voor mij. Ik dacht dat de Falcam kapot was, maar het was "by design" ;-) Mocht deze kwijt raken dan hoef ik er niet over na te denken om een nieuwe te bestellen.

Lousy product with a lot of play. Not usable as a camera holder if you are recording. Sounds like there is a clicking sound as you walk with the camera and will ruin your video.

E' già il secondo kit che acquisto, e direi che questo dice già tutto. Ho provato diverse clip anche di marchi più blasonati come ad esempio PD (marchio che io reputo fra i migliori se non il migliore quando si parla di zaini, borse e relativi accessori) ma questa Camera Clip "ha una marcia in più" ovvero: è compatibile con piastre di qualsiasi marca! Costruita molto bene e con ottimi materiali funziona perfettamente con piastre di marche diverse. Anche il sistema di aggancio allo zaino è più semplice e rapido, permettendo di spostarla facilmente da uno zaino all'altro. Ottimo anche il rapporto qualità/prezzo.

It works a treat, I was a little wary of trusting my camera to it but it is secure when latched on & in. Good quality materials seemed to used in its construction. It is not suitable for all backpack straps but my Tenba is fine.
