Excellent product
I am very happy with this product. The sockets appear well machined with a uniform black oxide coating that doesn't rub off, and are clearly etched with their respective size. I personally like the X6 design although some reviewers have said that it lacks bite; I don't use this set for automotive work where high torque is probably required more frequently, but for general fixing applications I have had no problems. The modular nature of the kit works very well: sockets are supplied for a wide range of SAE and metric sizes and the hollow socket design allows this set to be used as a deep socket set (of infinite depth) as well as a standard socket set. The sockets and 3/8" adaptor connect securely to the wrench and the tool does not feel like a gimmick as innovative products sometimes do. The wrench itself is of a typical size for the sockets included and had a smooth ratchet mechanism. The case that holds everything together is reasonable and I will keep the tool in this case in my shop. Very happy with the quality for the price I paid, the lifetime guarantee, and the innovative nature of the tool. Happy to recommend to others. I haven't come across any negatives as yet.

Great ratchet and socket set needs a better storage option tho.
the plastic thing it comes in is basically trash, cant really see using it after you open it once. it wasnt sold as a ratchet and case tho and so for the real review the ratchet set is really nice. its a little hard to tell what sizes they are because i havent taken it from the case yet and because they arnt typically shaped you cant really judge by looks what will fit your bolt. but when you do use it. it fits very snug and feels very solid. no play in the ratchet and seems to have pretty decent resolution. havent put a whole lot of stress on it yet but feels like itll hold up well. i wish they etched a "on off" by the switch tho like snapon does. i believe the switch is actually backwards from what im used to from other ratchets but i may be wrong. i typically switch it and run it a time or two in my hand to make sure tighten or loosen ill get used to it soon tho and maybe ill mark the switch myself somehow. seems like a very nice set, love the black color and i hope it doesnt end up rusting but seems fine. ive used it on my lawn mower and on my car changing my oil so far. pretty happy with it. kinda wish it came with a exstention of some sort tho. its low profile gets your hand dangerously close to what its moving around. may result in a couple skinned knuckles. exspect that if your that close to the work.

Great for tight spaces and obscure hardware
Awesome tool for exposed hardware, and anything where deep socket might not be deep enough. Versatility of the socket pattern is great for multiple types of hardware. Shortfall is anywhere you might need an extension, you then can use the 3/8 square insert for regular sockets, and then attach extensions onto that, but then you can't use the sockets in the set and you're back to square one.... If they included a second adapter that went from 3/8 to the spline drive, this thing would be exceptionally useful. Without it, it's impossible to fit into tight spaces with tool and socket combined. Also, it would be supremely useful to be able put these onto standard square drive, because the sockets themselves are awesome! Was hoping the set would eliminate some of the need for my standard tools, but it doesn't. It does, however, prove very useful in tight spaces and on obscure hardware.

Great Ratchet Set
This is my first ratchet set, so take my review as a first time ratchet owner and not some super mechanic expert. I haven't had much use of a ratchet set in my life. Lately though, I have been coming across projects that I need something that gave me leverage to get nuts and bolts out easier. regular crescents just weren't working for me. I am pretty impressed with this ratchet set. I was able to get my car battery out that I couldn't with a crescent because it was a tight spot. I tried using a reg screwdriver ratchet that I had but the bolt was too long and couldn't reach the nut. So this pass through socket worked perfectly for me. I also had to take apart my washer to fix a problem. I like how the sockets easily gripped the washer bolts. I can't say anything bad really, it works, feels durable, and came with a lot of sockets. I guess if I had to be picky, the only con I could think of is that the case it comes with could use some work, like maybe a cover just in case one of the sockets or the ratchet comes loose on accident.

Decent for the price
Pros: It's cheap Through-sockets can be handy in some applications They're particularly useful for oil changes; you can use the ratchet to break the drain plug loose, and then just spin the knurles by hand, even when there's oil on it (try that with a chrome socket! A lot of serpentine belt tools have the same connector pattern as the ratchet, which might give you more flexibility Cons: I'm not a fan of the spline-drive system; I'd prefer six-point for improved grippiness. Overall, a good addition to the toolbox for a cheap price, but I don't think I'd expect it to take the place of a normal 3/8 ratchet and sockets.

3rd set of adjusters in 4 months, should be the last
For some strange reason, the alignment guy at my local shop is afraid to torque the lower control arm bolts to spec, which is 222 lb/ft on an '04-'08 F-150. (On the 2nd and subsequent trips, I left a shop manual open on the front seat, with the torque spec. highlighted... Didn't do any good.) As a result, the two sets of camber adjustment kits he installed (at a cost to me of $75 each, plus 4 hours' labor to install) were both destroyed when the control arms shifted. The second set didn't even last a day / 15 miles. Another shop was able to get my F-150 drive-able the day after the second alignment attempt (which was after the fourth trip to the first shop, where the owner suggested I not come back any more), but could not align the truck because the sheetmetal portion of the 2nd set of cam adjusters were flattened again. He got it as close as he could, and told me to change the adjusters out. (He didn't want to fool with them) I was able to install these Moog adjusters in a little over an hour, including jacking the truck, and installed them with only hand tools in the driveway. I do have a very long breaker bar, and I'm a big guy, so they are close to torque spec, but I still need to have the alignment done again. It took me about another hour to set the toe by eyeball. Since these are milled billet, and not stamped sheetmetal, I don't expect to have any further problem. However, the bolts still need to be tightened to spec, which the instructions in this kit puts at 240 lb/ft. Another key difference between these and the sheetmetal kits is the adjustment is done with the nut, not the bolt. That means the tightening has to be done on the bolt, while the nut is held in place, once the alignment is set.

A Must Have for every tool chest
Crescent is a company known for quality. These black sockets ooze quality from the sturdy ratchet handle to the 3/8ths adapter that lets you operate standandard 3/8ths sockets from the existing handle. The passthrough design makes it perfect for long bolts and tight quarters. You won't need deepwell sockets. The gear style sockets let you operate on any kind of bolt head out there. Having metric and SAE gives you all you'll need. I'd suggest a more pronounced size engraving to aid older eyes. The case sits in a pull out shallow drawer to keep the sockets organized neatly. That's it. If you don't have passthrough you should. At this reduced price under $40 it is a no brainer to get these. Or if you prefer you can spend twice that for Kobalts.
