I had high expectations for this "professional" electric knife sharpener, lured in by its sleek design and the plethora of promises about efficiency, blade-friendliness, and quiet operation. What I encountered, however, was a stark contrast to what was advertised.Firstly, the so-called "efficient sharpening" is anything but. The simple on/off button is the only straightforward aspect of this device. Inserting the blade "diagonally" into the sharpening slot is a guessing game that yields inconsistent results at best. The angle guide, which supposedly keeps the blade at the "perfect angle," is laughably ineffective, resulting in unevenly sharpened edges that are far from the "brand new sharp blade" promised.The claim of a "blade-friendly design" that won't de-temper the blade is misleading. After several uses, I noticed my cherished kitchen knives losing their temper, directly contradicting the assurances of longevity and durability. This sharpener is more a blade's adversary than its friend.As for saving time, the claim that it only takes 30 seconds to rebuild the sharpness of knives is a fantasy. Even after several minutes of wrestling with this contraption, the knives emerged in a sorry state, duller than before and with their edges compromised.The so-called "versatile convenience" is another overstatement. This sharpener struggled with basic kitchen knives, let alone more specialized iron and steel blades. Its adaptability to "a wide range of scenarios" is, therefore, highly questionable.The "noise-slightly operation" touted to be less than 65 dB is a myth. The sharpener emits a grating noise that is anything but discreet, disrupting the peace of any kitchen environment.This Electric Knife Sharpener is a masterclass in disappointment. Its performance falls short in every aspect, from efficiency to quiet operation. Buyers would be wise to steer clear and invest in a product that delivers on its promises rather than hiding behind them.

Saved buying new knives, so very happy

Even with no pressure on the knife it often just stops. On/off switch also intermittent..... not reliable and weak motor. Also came with a new usb cable but nothing to connect it to. (no plug). Considering returning.
