Tried as B supplement but stopping due to bug concerns
Updated Review: Nov 2024 I have used this product for 6+ months, taking one scoop daily to augment my B vitamin intake. I found that it did indeed improve my labs but I am discontinuing it because I seem to see tiny bugs in the container. These bugs are not visible unless I mix a scoop of powder with water and let it sit for about 5 minutes. At that point, two to four dark specks will rise to the top and float. They look like tiny bugs if I use a magnifying glass, and I have resorted to picking them out. I have tried freezing the container immediately upon receiving it so I know that nothing is entering the container on my end. Althogh i know the bugs are dead, it still bothers me and I am stopping the use of this product. My plan is to switch to nutritional yeast, which is fortified but better than nothing, and occasionally fortified cereals to augment my B vitamin intake. I'm sorry that this product did not work out for me. Initial Review: So far so good on this Brewers yeast, I'm starting out with 1T per day. B VITAMINS plus CHROMIUM: I'm trying this out as a replacement for a B complex. I'm also taking beef liver pills to get the B12 in. I also like that it has chromium in it because I have to watch my blood sugar because I tested as prediabetic a few years ago. I have found that I can't tolerate the B6 in supplements, even a kid's dose, it gives me neuropathy. I also don't like the high doses in most supplements. TASTE: I tried adding it to a chocolate smoothie and didn't like how it changed the taste so I've just been adding 1T to a glass of water and downing it in the AM. I actually don't mind the taste, it has a bit of a nutty aftertaste that I like. But, I would certainly not call it delicious! It's probably an acquired taste for some, I like fermented foods like sauerkraut, sourdough bread, beer, etc. so to me, the flavor is ok. I like it better than matcha powders. I'll get my labs done in a few months and then may update my review, based on how my bloodwork used.

Superior Product and Seller!
I was using brewer's yeast tablets until I found out the kind I was using contain magnesium stearate, a harmful additive. So I decided to switch to brewer's yeast powder instead. I chose Bluebonnet Brewer's Yeast powder because it is made with beets and is also debittered. To my surprise it arrived three days later; talk about speedy service! I was a bit apprehensive about how it would taste, but I actually like the taste. I put a tablespoon full in my cereal in the morning, then at night, I put a tablespoon full in my milk, which I drink with my dinner. Easy, breezy. Brewer's yeast gives me energy galore, and also improves my mood. Being diagnosed with hypothyroidism a few years ago, brewer's yeast has really helped me keep my energy level up. As a matter of fact, I've been off my meds for a few years now. I'm not recommending everyone stop taking their meds, but what I'm doing is definitely working for me. If you have hypothyroidism, avoid ingesting chlorine and fluoride, which suppress thyroid function. I'm really enjoying Bluebonnet Brewer's Yeast powder, and will continue to purchase it due to the superior quality of the product and its sellers. Update 10/28/2013: I was having trouble sleeping, so I figured out that I was taking too much brewer's yeast, so I cut the dosage in half--from two tablespoons per day to one. Worked like a charm. I'm a small person, so apparently I was taking too much, which made me a bit TOO energetic, so I wasn't getting tired and sleepy at bedtime! I would recommend taking this product in the morning instead of at night.

A good product
Very tasty, with none of the bitterness normally associated with brewer's yeast. Highly recommended.

GREAT PRODUCT.
Very good. Doesn't blend in water as well as some others but I love that it's non-gmo, made from beet mollasses not grains, has a nutty taste and very very high in vitamins and amino acid content. I don't think you will be disappointed. I have been using this for a long time now and I love love love it. It has improved my health by 100 percent. It does not have a prop 65 warning on it anywhere I can find, like 1 person on here suggested. I have looked everywhere and read everything on the label. I choose this over solgar and the price for lewis labs flakes is ridiculous. Don't waste your money, choose the Blue Bonnet. I use it in spinache, kale, and fruit smoothies. It is yummy.

Horrible Tasting
Tried this product since I read is was helpful to people with acne. Unfortunately as soon as we tried it, it was absolutely unbearable. My son described it as the worst flavor you could imagine. When I tried it I found the same issue, we tried putting this product in our items to attempt to mask it but unfortunately could not. Would not recommend this product unless of a known way to disable this flavor.

Good Brewer's Yeast. Just Not For me
I bought this to make lactation cookies. When I add it to the recipe, it's I can hardly taste it. But on it's own or added to other things like my morning oatmeal, it has a pretty gross/horrible flavor that I just cannot stomach. Perhaps it's an acquired tastes. For me it smells a lot like the Asian dried shitake mushrooms (which I like actually). I have never had any other brewer's yeast before but I will note that this is not bitter. I've tasted the powder. I've also mixed the powder with water and sipped to taste. Gross flavor but definitely not bitter. The texture is also very fine. It mixes well in things but the powder easily catches in air and can get messy if not careful...like when adding it to a whirring mixer. I'll continue to make lactation cookies while I'm nursing, but this is not a product that I'll be buying again for regular use. Overall I think this is a good quality brewer's yeast. It is highly rated by other users. However, it is just not for me.
