How can I get longer guards for this clipper?

I would LOVE to find longer guards for this clipper as well - the 12mm is between a #3 and and #4 when compared to other clippers but even for my son who has medium-dark brown hair, it's just too short to look nice. Maybe it would be better for kids who have VERY thick & dense hair or for a summer buzz-style cut, but evenfor the average white kiddo with "thick" hair, it's just too tight to the head to taper down to the smaller sizes..

Is there a full charge indicator?

will this work on my severely matted himalayan cat?
