Machining Fundamentals Ninth Edition, Textbook

lots of information to learn about machining my son learned from this book.

The book is very well written and richly illustrated with many practical informations. Great photos of machining equipment and processes make this book special and quite useful for machinists, technicians and engineers.The only complain, concerned with the package, is that the package should protect the books better, taking into account that the book is somewhat heavy and the long distance displaced by the package by international courier. Perhaps the addition of some plastic bubbles sheet to wrapping, would improve the protection of the books. I declare this because my book arrived with one corner smashed. Anyway, it is just for future packages improvement.

It was a purchase for a college class. I would recommend also getting the companion workbook. Reviewing the workbook with serve as review notes for the chapters.

Awesome resource for those just starting in the world of machining and fabrication! Having been around the block for the past 9ish years a lot of this was not really new to me. That said it covers a massive amount of really good material, and it's been nice to flip though to get some refreshers on its content!

I needed this for school and was worried of ordering rentals from Amazon but it actually came in rlly good condition!

I had to buy this book for an intro to machining class. It is extremely clear and concise in virtually every aspect. It covers a lot of material and is a good source if you are unsure of something. The diagrams and pictures are high quality and make some of the harder concepts easy to understand. It's definitely a book you will want to keep.

The information in this book is up to date, very clear, and easy to understand. This book is also required for a college curriculum course in machining. It would be helpful to have an instructor experienced in machining to guide you through the processes.
