I had my doubts, but I read reviews and went ahead and bought it. I charged it fully and turned it on and dropped it in my above ground pool. I did take the ladder out first because a lot of the debris collects around the base of it. At first, it was making very short passes, it was sucking stuff up nicely, but not going very far before moving in the other direction. Soon, however, it began to make longer passes. It stopped, at one point and I lifted it out, using the included hook, opened it up and I was shocked to see how much of the ultra-fine junk it had picked up. Thr filter is SO fine that it picks up the tiniest particles of dirt. I rinsed it all out, put it back together and back into the pool, where it moved around, just like a Roomba, until my pool was beautifully cleaned up. I'll be using it every 3-4 days. I'm very pleased with the results. No brushes to possibly damage the liner and its so easy. I highly recommend this for any above ground pool*UPDATE*I'm so impressed by this little machine. I'm posting pictures that I took today after the hurricane a couple of days ago, I'm in Florida. There was just a lot of small tree trash in the bottom of the pool. This little thing is priceless. It picked up SO MUCH small debris. I've added a picture of just some of what it picked up. The other pictures are of it taken apart, which is so easy, and it's all back together. I highly recommend this for above ground pools. Turn it on and drop it in. BamUPDATE #2- I'm more and more impressed every time I use this little champ. We recently had the WORST dropping of Oak Tree pollen and the bottom of my pool was covered with tiny little brown dots of that pollen. It was so small that my skimmer net couldn't get it out. But this little baby got all of it. I had to clean it out several times, which is so easy (as I stated previously) but, the bottom is now clean. I really can't say enough good things about this machine. Whenever it gives out, I won't hesitate to buy another one.

THE ONLY DOWN FALL ABOUT THIS PRODUCT IS THE CHARGING LOCATION YOU MUST LAY THE PRODUCT ON ITS SIDE TO CHARGE OTHERWISE YOU CAN BREAK THE COMPONENT LIKE I DID BE AWARE THAT THE VACUME MUST STAY ON ITS SIDE TO CHARGE OTHER THAN THAT ITS GREAT FOR CLEANING THE POOL, WE HAVE A SPLASH POOL AND IT FALLS DOWN THE STAIRS IT DOESNT COME WITH A SENSOR HEADS UP. BUT IT DOES CLEAN VERY WELL .I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THIS PRODUCT FOR 100 DOLLARS

I can't speak to durability, since I've only had it 2 days. I'd give it a 5, except for a couple issues.Pros, it's inexpensive, has great suction, filters well, easy to clean and maintain.Cons, it gets stuck easily if your pool floor isn't all pretty flat. And, the charging plug input is on the bottom, requiring care how you pay it....But, it does a great job. Mine runs over 45 minutes on a charge, which does a 90% cleaning. So I just stick around to unstick it, and that's the only problem. It takes about 2 hours to recharge, so you can really clean the pool with a second run.It takes me about 2 hours with the hoses and poles, so I love this so far.

Did not work. I charged it for more than 3 hours before I put it in the pool and after a full charge it went across the pool and stopped. Tried again with another full charge and again it went across the pool and then again did not move. A total waste of money. Why are we selling all of this junk from China.
