I've had a CANON lens lying around for years, unused, because I switched to Fujifilm X-T3 so when I saw this adapter on Amazon I had to give it a try.Fits great, feels good and there has been literally no issue with the picture quality. I like shooting with a manual focus anyway so this was no big hill for me to climb. I'm very pleased with this purchase.

I was a bit skeptical of this lens adapter given that similar ones cost much more. I have an M42 Zeiss lens from the 1950's I believe, and it paired perfectly with my Fuji XT30.

Currently in the market of these adapters, one can somewhat summarize the primary choices available to the relatively average individual. To my knowledge from brief research, it appears that there are probably four routes one can take.The first is the official route which is presented by Fujifilm itself, which is an electronically coded adapter, which supposedly permits certain lenses to transfer information back and forth between the body and the lens. Of course, this transferring of information is rather limited upon closer inspection, as it merely permits the body to apply various fixes in order to counter the likelihood of smears, color abnormalities, fringe issues, etc. This advantage comes with a brief disadvantage, as the physical essence of the codings restrict some M lenses to be used. In the end, the price of this adapter is somewhat approximately $200.The second route is the relatively exotic and upper class route, the Novoflex adapter. Costing about $60 dollars more than the official Fujifilm adapter, one receives a superior engineered piece, which functions as it should, to its highest definition of itself. Without any of the prior electronically coded advantages and disadvantage, it is crafted with the well known Germany-esque mastery; one is paying as much for the 'soul' of the product as the product itself. It is a product of very high quality in its very functional claim to allow one to use M lenses to Fujifilm X bodies and very much expensive.The third route is the route in which one finds over and over again in the forums of the international. The Kipon. The people's choice as it has earned a place in the very hearts of the pragmatic and dynamic sons and daughters of this age; it just has to work, and work reliably. And to most people, it very much does. Significantly cheaper than the prior two, but insignificantly different in use. Of course, there are errors here and there with corrupted batches, but when does that not happen in this world? Of course, where does one get it? Generally speaking, most references lead to eBay. And so, one would have to deal with the politics of eBay, which are in of itself an experience no so different than on Amazon.So what is the fourth route? It is everything else. In this case, as it is in the nature of reviews, it is the rainbowimaging's presentation of the adapter. In many ways, it is almost precisely the same as Kipon, in both philosophy and in physical built. It is constructed cheaply, plastic, and just simply works. For the adapter that I received, it must be mentioned that to actually connect the M lens to the adapter, one had to exert a more than necessary amount of strength and effort. Once it is connected, and the tiny latch locks, it is quite secure, and goes into the Fujifilm's body smoothly, as if it was the natural lens. There is a little metal switch that one can pull to allow one to once again utilize an amount of exertion in order to disconnect the adapter. Unfortunately, this metal switch can fall out, and when it does and is missing, would would have to rely on external objects, such as finger nails, in order to lift the lock and remove the adapter. Surprisingly not frustrating, save for the initial realization. As is already known, the Fujifilm body does not boast to have focus peaking for even its own official adapter, and so neither does this one.In conclusion, to say that the product is good or very good or excellent or bad or horrible would almost seem irrelevant. The product either works or does not work. In this case, it does. The experience of the product may not be a magical smooth one, but it was not necessarily designed to be one, it was just designed to perform the function to which it claims to. And it does.

Bucking the usual trend of photo enthusiasts jumping on the bandwagon of more megapixels, fancier auto-focus, face recognition, 4k video, etc. I set out to find the modern day digital equivalent of an original Nikon F or Canon A1 that was as fully manual as possible. Of course neither of those companies makes such a camera anymore, although to some degree you can force any DSLR or mirrorless camera into at least a quasi-manual mode. When I found the Fujifilm EX-1 I was pleased with how well its fully manual setting emulated those of ancient film cameras. I was also pleased to find how well the EX-1 (and slightly newer EX-2 and EX-2s) work with old legacy film camera prime lenses, which I have an abundance of.This adapter is nothing more than a mechanical coupling with a Nikon bayonet mount on the lens end and a Fuji X mount on the camera body end. There are no physical nor electronic connections of any kind and therefore the adapter works best with older lenses that have fully mechanical aperture, focus and (if applicable) zoom ring as opposed to the fly by wire linkage common on modern lenses. When used with a legacy lens you the photographer will have full creative control of all of those functions just like back in the early days of photography. The EX-series of Fujifilm cameras are especially well suited to being quickly switched from automated use to turning all settings over to the user.IN USEIf you’ve ever shot with an old film rangefinder or non-automated film SLR you will love the feeling of using this adapter with a legacy prime lens like a 50mm f/1.4 Nikkor lens, being in full control bring back a certain joy to photography that today’s auto-everything digital cameras have all but erased. Considering the price the construction and finish on this adapter and fit to my camera are impressive being all metal and weighing almost 96g, but remember that how it performs is going to depend a lot on the specific lens you use it with and I found it works best with fully manual prime lenses. Before basing your decision on whether others say it is too loose or two tight consider that the adapter may be fine, they are all made identically, but rather their camera or lens may be slightly out of adjustment.DOCUMENTATIONI didn’t expect any documentation and was surprised to get a small but clearly written and helpful instruction sheet that among other things advised how to adjust the camera controls and that if the lens does not have a manual aperture ring it will stop down to its smallest f/stop by default.SUMMARYI put this in the category of an interesting gadget to experiment with, not a serious photography accessory. Giving new life to old legacy lenses that are in some cases better than you can ever hope to buy new these days is a worthwhile cause as is getting back to the basics of shooting without the help of automation. I recommend it.

Not clear what's to review. It fits the lens and camera

I got this adapter for my vintage Nikkor 55mm f3.5 lens so I can use it on my Fujifilm XT-1 mirrorless camera. The adapter came quickly. It seems to be well made. It fits my camera body well, but it's very tight on my lens. I was afraid to force it on the first time, so my highly experienced with vintage equipment friend did the deed for me. He said he didn't know why it needed to be so tight, but it does work well now that's it's on. I probably won't be taking it off and on very often except to add the M2 extender. Hopefully it will loosen a bit with use because it's scary tight right now.Bottom line, it works and I'm very impressed with this1968 model lens paired with the Fuji digital camera. Using adapters has opened my eyes to the possibilities of using vintage lenses on newer cameras. My favorite is a vintage Leica 90mm.

This is totally manual adapter, so no autofocus and no F number setting via camera.It means it will just attach on your camera and camera won’t focus or set any aperture.Now real part : if you have canon STM lens, then this adapter is useless as STM lens required electronic contact even for manual focus! So check if your lens has manual focus ring and manual focus works without attaching to camera.STM lens or Fuji lens has electronic manual focus motor so u cannot focus these lens on this type of adapter at all!I am using this for mounting canon 10-18 on Fuji XT3 as ultra wide angle don’t require sharp focusing

Perfect fitting adapter for C mount to fujifilm camera mount

Fits perfectly, there is none play whatsoever... on neither side. Great quality "dummy" adapter. Not sure why some people expected there will be communication between the lens and the camera, when clearly there is no electronic parts in this adapter, price confirms that too ;) These adapters are so you can use your Canon EF lenses on your Fujifilm camera. If you happen to have Rokinon 85mm f/1.4 and Rokinon 14mm f/2.8 EF mount, all manual lenses, you will get aperture ring on them too. All manual, especially for video, that's how we like it :)

Cumple muy bien con su principal función que es poder utilizar lentes análogos Pentax en mi cámara Fuji seria X. Al principio tenia duda en comprarlo pues leí varias reseñas de estos adaptadores donde dicen que es muy difícil colocarlos en las cámaras y muchas veces imposible quitarlos, yo no tuve ese problema, los lentes se colocan de manera sencilla , sin complicación , y el adaptador en la cámara se ajusta de manera suave y sin esfuerzo. Teniendo este adaptador me da una posibilidad de utilizar mis lentes Pentax análogos y de adquirir otros mas a buen precio y de mejor calidad que aquellos lentes de foco manual de marcas chinas.

Buen producto, la unidad que me llegó no es exactamente igual a la mostrada en las fotos, solo cambia la forma muy sutil pero no le ví problema, el lado que acopla al objetivo lo sujeta firme y por otro lado el que acopla a la cámara tiene juego (movimiento) al ya estar acoplado a la montura, aunque no demasiado, de hecho es muy pequeño, solo lo comenté ya que esperaba que el adaptador a la cámara estuviese perfectamente firme, pero fuera de eso cumple perfectamente su funcionNota adicional: en un principio batalle enormemente para acoplar los objetivos al adaptador pero es cuestión de tener paciencia
