This tirch makes a great fireplace lighter. It has a long flames that works great to get the fire in the fireplace going. My wife loves it too.

I often need a small torch with my hobby work. I've been using a full size Bernzomatic but it was much bigger than I needed for my small projects although it was able to stand up in a reasonably stable manner. When I saw this I thought it would be perfect.Pay attention to the shipping time. The slow boat from China is real and this rides on it. It arrived in good condition and when I opened it the torch looked exactly like the pictures and has a good heft to it. I filled it with fuel and started testing it out.The flame adjustment is very sensitive, mine is best just off of the lowest setting. The flame starts out blue then quickly develops a red conical shell around the blue core. Very pretty and impressive. After I had it adjusted for a perfect flame I released the trigger, then pushed it for a re-light but I had to adjust the flame each time. Not a show stopper but annoying.A day or so later I was testing it some more and wondered if I had really filled it or not. I don't see a sight glass or anything to let you know when it's full. It's a bit tricky to fuel, you must get it just so or butane leaks pretty significantly. My fuel cans only had the one nozzle, perhaps I should try a fuel with multiple nozzles.After playing with it a bit more it suddenly started behaving like I felt it should - it would stay adjusted between uses. The flame is very hot and if it holds up it will be perfect for my uses.Note that the instructions are wrong in that the photograph identifying the parts indicates the flame adjustment ring is on the bottom of the torch but it's at the top under the metal head. You can see this in the photos shown in the product information provided above.PROS: Feels well made. The head is made to handle the heat for longer sessions. It's a very nice looking torch. The flame is both very hot and colorful.CONS: I can't address durability of the torch at this time. The plastic adjustment ring could feel a little more substantial. Due to the plastic bottom plate where you fuel it up I am not sure it would survive being dropped onto a hard surface. The head of the torch is also a heat sink and gets hot in longer sessions but it's made for that, but be aware of a burn risk or where you put it down as it could melt or scorch the surface. Refueling could be neater. I don't know if the flame color is achieved by a catalyst which should last a long time, or a consumable material in the head which may become exhausted after a certain time of use.Summary: I love this thing so far. The cons about heat are true for almost all torches but since this looks like a lightsaber it may be easier to forget about the heat. If you like the looks and the flame color, go for it!

The flame works great. However you have to refill it to soon. 5 test uses , only 2 seconds of flames each time. And had to refill it again. So 10 seconds of use and it's empty.

It is much stronger than most lighters, and is my favorite thing to light the fire pit with.

This lighter truly throws a flame just as in the pictures. With that much of a flame though it will go through butane fairly quickly. The only downside is that you need to purchase butane separately because it is empty in the box

I got this for myself but my dad and friends like it so much I had to order others as gifts for the holidays now I gotta get a flashlight holder for the belt for it cause it really big like that of an average flashlight take lot of fuel to fill it up and pending on the settings you got and how much you use it like I had it on max and use all the fuel in it in a day lol but it was awesome

This torch is amazing. Large flame and great distance. Super easy lighting my grill of anything else.
