Good earphones when they work
As observed by many others, sound quality is top notch. Maybe it was my luck, maybe it is my abusive nature, but those earphones gradually degraded in terms of durability. First, the mic cable died on me, then the left earphone stopped working altogether.Cable was replaced quite quickly, it was the earphone replacement I had to wait for few months. It turns out that replacement, needs to be shipped to Hong Kong. When they were sent back to me (from HK), they were stopped at customs and I was asked to pay tax. I refused, and they were shipped back to HK. I asked the guys to relay them through another EU country.Alas, the chaps send it back from HK. Naturally, customs stopped it again and I had to pay $25 tax on them as I was asked politely by Brainwavz support to do so. Not sure if that is normal...Essentially, I used this earphones for 1 month and waited to get them back 2, 3 months...Be careful with handling them as they're prone to breaking, at least in my experience.

I'd be surprised if you can get better at this price.
These B400's are excellent ear phones and well worth the asking price. The whole range of sounds rings through so clearly is seems to add a whole new dimension to your music. One weird (in a good way) thing is that it sounds really stereo. Which is odd because I'd have thought that stereo is stereo, it should equally separate on any headphone. With these though it is so much clearer that things are separate. Perhaps the clarity and sharpness makes audible the stereo qualities that other headphones can't?This clarity does have a minor drawback in that low quality recordings, sadly, sound extra bad. And badly judged bits of the music stand out even more than ever. But play something truly well produced and the results, for me, where breathtaking.Pros;Clarity"Naturalness" (a bit subjective, but that's what popped into my head)Voices ring out very very clearlyVery secure fit with the provided foam tips, definitely gym worthy.Over ear wire loop that stops cable rustling noise in your earsWith the foam tips at least outside noise is drastically cut.Cons;Punishes poor recordings. The foam tips were super tricky to get on, had to almost screw them on.The detachable cable is literally frighteningly hard to remove.Ugly as heck, they look like two clear blobs of araldite in your ears with wires stuck in them.

Very good earphones
Bought to replace Final Audio Device earphones I managed to break.I think the FAD earphones were better sound quality but they were twice the price.Having used the Brainwavz's for a couple of weeks they do sound very good and have advantages over the FAD's in the replaceable cables and the over the ear hooks which are comfortable and excellent at keeping the earphones in place which has often been a problem for me despite trying various types and sizes of ear buds on various earphones. If I have to replace these at some point, I would certainly consider buying these again as, for me, the difference in sound quality is not enough to justify the extra cost of the FAD's.

At £170 they are hard to beat!
Comfortable fit and can be used for hours. They come in a small hard case, which is great for storage and protection. I'm not an audiophile, but in my opinion, the sound is fairly neutral with clear mids and highs. The bass, on the other hand, is a bit flat and lacks punch - so if bass is your thing you'll likely be disappointed. They are to be easy to drive and get loud with no distortion - so don't need a portable amp/DAC, but this may improve sound quality. With respect to build quality - appears to be solid and well made. Have a very unique look and currently come in only 1 colour of frost white as they are 3D printed. However, the use of plastic instead of metal like other brands worries me with respect to longevity, but time will tell! For just under £170 these are a steal!

Brainwavz B400
The sound, audio quality, sound stage or whatever you want to call it is brilliant, however this relies entirely on the fit of the tips.My right ear fits perfectly using the comply T100 ear tip but my left ear doesn't and that ruins the isolation and sound qualiry.I have found that using one of the silicone tips on my left earbud fits far better and subsequently the sound improves massively. They are well worth the money : I'm hearing instrument notes I've never heard before.I don't claim to be an expert audiophile, but I have spent serious money on other in-ear phones and these are the best by far that I've tried.I seriously recommend these earphones.

Not well made! Brainwavz B400
When they work they sound good. Had the buds for nearly six months. Left ear piece died after two months. Had to pay to send it back to the manufacturer for a new one. When the replacement was sent had to pay £12 customs charge! Now after seven months the left ear piece has died again! I have purchased Brainwavz products before, they have been very good & reliable. However this product has been a total waste of money. Very disappointing. The customer service has been good though.

Left ear phone stopped working (3 weeks in)
I was quite enjoying these headphones. They take a bit of getting used to due to the slightly different signature than the classic V shape. All in all quite a tonally warm and fun sound.3 weeks later the left earphone stopped working. I also had a slight problem with the mic cable interfering with sound. Other reviews are good so perhaps I'm just the unlucky fall guy. These have been sent back and I'll be buying the Fiio Fh5 :)

Really wonderful. Own Shure 425
Really wonderful. Own Shure 425, Sennheiser Momentum in ear. Warmer than the shures, probably comparable detail but the shures may sound slightly more detailed purely because they aren't as warm, but these on first impressions I would think I would prefer to listen to music with. Not going to bother comparing the Momentums, though they are cheaper so there is that.
