Tune-up in a can for your Diesel engine.
Diesel Purge by Lubri-Moly is a go-to injection pump and injector cleaner for any Diesel engine. What I have been doing lately is putting a can in the tank and driving it every so often but for a deep clean I remove the fuel lines from the fuel filter and run them both into a CLEAN container with a whole can of this in it. Run the engine until it's almost used up, it will circulate almost pure Diesel purge through the pump and injectors and back into the container. This is a heavy clean and should get your pump and injectors back to smooth operation. Put whatever is left in the tank. Happy motoring!

Fixed a problem I didn't know existed
Didn't help with what I initially bought the product for but it did make a huge difference in power. I didn't even know the car was supposed to have that kind of throttle response and torque tell I did this.

Keep your German diesel happy
This stuff works wonders! I add this directly to my 06 e320 CDI fuel filter each fuel filter change, after you prime and start the vehicle you can smell it in the exhaust doing its thing and cleaning. Pair this with liqui moly fuel additive and you willHonestly feel the engine run better.Diesel fuel In the United States prior to 2006 had 5,000 ppm (parts per million) of sulfur, now it has 15 ppm on average! Sulfur acted like a lead did in gasoline, basically a lubricant. Adding additives like this into your diesel is crucial for the fuel system!

Used numerous times, always positive outcome
I've used this in the fuel filter of a few diesels now. Every time, it's been the same result.Conduct fuel-filter changeFill the fuel filter housing up with Diesel Purge *instead of* diesel fuel like you're supposed toCrank the truck and let it run for 1-2 minutes to let the Diesel Purge get in the system and coat everythingGive it 20-30 minutes, start the truck and then flog it for a couple miles to really run the diesel purge through the whole systemIn each instance, I've noted easier startup, smoother idle, MUCH more responsive throttle pedal, and even slightly better MPG.

What a difference!
I drive an older diesel Mercedes. It was clanking, knocking, pinging and making all sorts of noise. I changed the oil, fuel filters, and did a valve adjustment hoping it wasn’t the injectors. I had no idea I could clean them. I used the diesel purge. Now my car is quiet. Well, as quiets as a diesel can be! No more clanking, knocking or other injector noises.Don’t put the liquid in your tank. There are videos online showing how to do a diesel purge. I found it easy on my car. I ran it through the injectors for 30 minutes, changed 2 fuel filters, and the car sounds and runs so much better.

If it's ever about $10 each for 2--grab that.
Price was 2, 500ml's for about $20 as I recall, first using this. If that happens again, I'll buy several. At $16 for one ... ....... pricey...but I don't use the car as often as pre-COVID quite infrequently actually.Car: 390,000-mile vintage Mercedes 200-Delta. (Zero to 60 in ... oh, time to make a sandwich, have a beverage.) Daily driver. White-ish smoke altho called darker once by 1 observer. The DECREASE in SMOKE is too good to be true ... can't believe it. Haven't measured it (mileage or any other criteria) but sound of clickety clack diesel and smoothness and power sounds and feels better.'put directly into fuel filter; putting it in with up to 16 gallons in fuel tank seems it'd be a terrific waste; 500 ml uses about 80% of can into that main fuel filter. 1st time, 3-5 months ago, serially used up 500 + 500 in a row ... and noticed clear improvement. This critique is from the 2nd time, using only the circa 400 ml, once. Happy motoring.

It Works!!!
I don't write a lot of reviews, but this product deserves one. You WILL notice a difference after using if your diesel had been neglected for a few thousand miles like my 2014 Passat TDI SEL was. In the 14 Passat it is super simple to use, I just pulled out the old fuel filter, sucked all the old fuel out of the fuel filter canister with a turkey baster, put the new filter in, and before starting the engine I filled the entire canister up with Diesel Purge. When I started it up the engine runs great on the straight diesel purge. There is absolutely no doubt in my "butt dyno" that power has been restored. Better mileage, better acceleration, smoother idle, less diesel knock. I'll definitely be using this every oil change from now on.

1979 300d w123
It is pretty easy to feed this straight into the injectors/injection pump as is recommended in the w123 300d. There are plenty of good guides online so I won't go over the process here.I ran two bottles of this stuff in my 300d with at least 185,000 miles (odometer wasn't working when purchased). It would smoke at idle and on the highway. The smoke trail in the headlights of other cars was visible and a while in traffic. This didn't turn the car into a rocket (I wasn't expecting that) but it did make the engine more responsive and run much more quietly. The smoke is gone too -mostly. There is still some smoke when I floor it or the transmission downshifts but that is pretty acceptable considering the price and amount of work that went into this. This isn't a replacement for a injector rebuild / replacement but it does seem to help quite a bit. With regular use on new injectors this could probably make stretch out the injector servicing interval.
