I have one of these and really like it. It is lightweight and lights up well. I have to change the batteries every 2 to 3 weeks, which is not bad. I bought another one for my PA. The only complaint I have is that the clear plastic 'lens' tab broke on mine, so it is not secure; however it has not interfered with me using it.

I've tried several of the cheap otoscopes available on Amazon and returned them all. I didn't want to spend $400 for a personal otoscope, but my new clinic is a 45 minute drive from my home, so asking my wife to bring the kids by on my lunch break is no longer an option. I decided to try this mid range priced otoscope and I am satisfied with the purchase. It works well for home use. It doesn't compare to the Welch allyn otoscope I use in the clinic, but that one costs over $400. You get what you pay for. I wouldn't work at a clinic that expected me to use this model for evaluating patients in a professional capacity, but for examining my own kids ears at home it's sufficient. Would recommend to anyone looking for an affordable otoscope for personal use.

total garbage. The light is so dim with brand new batteries that I can't see a thing.

This portable unit works really well, I am able to check my kids ears often and even throats. The lens is crystal clear and the light is bright. It’s lightweight and easy to use.

Works well enough for a home checkup. Not as good as the once I use at the hospital. My main complaint is the way the item arrived I clearly received a used item and not new which I paid for.

Best otoscope. Band for your bucks.
