I had a co-worker that gave me some Berbere a few years ago. His mom brought it home from Ethiopia. I have loved it and put it on so many things. For months I have been looking for what it was. I thought I remembered it coming from Egypt so I have not been able to find it. Finally I remembered and bought this because it seems like it was pretty mild based on the reviews. My kids do not like spicy food. It definitely has a different taste and is a lot less spicy than the stuff I got from the Ethiopian, it is still super good though. I don’t like the texture of this as much as the original. But for anything that will be simmered this is amazing. I’m not versed in exotic foods, but it tastes like something you would eat in an Indian restaurant.

I bought this to make kibbeh but also ended up trying it on popcorn and it was amazing. Beautiful blend of seasonings.

This spice blend was spot on. The taste broght me back to the streets of Addis Ababa.

The spice is really good!

This spice is a nice blend and very aromatic. However it is too course and since I don't have a spice grinder I have no way to fix this. The large pieces really take away from the flavor and dish.
