I really love this one!
Like many watercolor enthusiasts, I have a ton of pallettes. I always think "ok this is the last one I will need because this is the right onel". I have every one that meedan makes and I do love their ceramic choices but I need more wells and when I got the big daddy by meedan, it was too big to travel. I've got a lot of the standard plastic ones that you see on YouTube a lot (Mr Pen makes a good one that I've got a few of but I always want a few more wells). I saw some like this by transon and some others but chose this and who would have thought that this plastic bad boy would be the one for me. It's got plenty of wells and mixing areas as well a lift out piece not to mention the convenient travel size that snaps shut and it's secure. I even put some Dr.PH Marten liquid watercolor in it and they were fine. It's sturdier than the others and I can't put my finger on why exactly because it's still plastic but I just really like this one. There's no perfect palette just perfect for situations and needs but this is one answers more needs than any of the others. For the price you get a good quality addition to your collection that stacks away easily and has a good amount of working space. In other words, I'm about to get another one. Lol. I am who I am.

Decent with modification
I bought this because of the separate palette mixing tray...which I then modified. We had some flat "Fruit & Veggie Life Extender Drawer Liner" (which we didn't care for at all in the refrigerator.) They serve as a very compact sponge. One piece is placed in the upper "drawer", moistened and sprayed with Lysol, then the "drawer" is flipped over so the sponge is hidden. Two others pieces of sponge are used in the bottom mixing trays. I cut pieces of glass from my stained glass work shop, sanded the edges, and placed the glass over the sponge. As I have seen, glass is super easy to clean up after painting with acrylic paints...and the small size is convenient for the "bar sink" in my studio/office. The box closes up nice and tight after my modifications. The bottom sponges will get messy over time...but the product is fairly cheap...$15 for six square feet on Amazon. The first picture shows the top tray with the sponge inserted. The second shows the palette after the top tray is flipped over and put into place.

Use for watercolor
Like the product but difficult to flip the sides to remove the lid. Quality is great, it is leak proof and seals well, and mixing areas are generous.

Great air tight palette!
I’ve stored my Shin Han gouache in this palette for a bit now and I really like it. Perfect size and number of pans, plenty of mixing space and air tight. I lightly mist my paint before storing (and it comes with a small sponge to dampen.) My paints have stayed moist and ready to use.

You can never have too many pallets!
This is a good addition to your palette collection. I don’t think you can ever have too many pallets, not if you really enjoy watercolor. Folds up nice and tidy and keeps things where they belong. It’s a good size and stays closed.

Watercolor paint pan
This is a nice beginner paint color pan with a good assortment of colors. They are smooth and have good pigment.

Disappointing
I was using a small metal palette that closed and kept paint moist for about two days. I wanted plastic, and a larger size, with bigger bins for paints. It’s fine on those points. I thought I read all reviews, I guess not. It arrived just before Christmas, I put some Hansa yellow in it to try it out. It dries out ASAP. The 1” sponge dries out too. The lid seems warped. One clamp already won’t close, another is difficult to open. And the wet watercolors pool up where you can barely tell what it is. I feel like even though it has paint in it, I should be able to exchange it, or get a credit. Definitely Not Worth the cost!!

Well made and plenty bud for a large number of colours. Lots of space to mix colours and. Very sturdy construction.

The hinge is poorly made and pops out regularly. Otherwise, it’s a practically made product and good value for money.
